V-neck T-shirt comparison.
I needed new V-neck T-shirts and had no idea which brand to buy. So, as an experiment, I ordered some Fruit of the Loom (abbreviated FOTL below), some Jockey (J), and some Calvin Klein (CK) and compared them. Please note I'm not an expert on garments or fabrics, this is just what I observed among my samples. My shirt size is Large Tall--I'm 6-4 and weigh about 170, if this helps. All three shirts fit me fine, although not exactly the same. Chest circumference. FOTL and J are slightly smaller (about 40 inches) than CK (measures 42 inches). Back length. FOTL 28, J 29, CK 30 inches. Fabric. None is what I'd call heavy or beefy. FOTL fabric seems thinner and rougher than the others. J is slightly heavier--possibly the heaviest fabric of the three--and softer and smoother than FOTL. CK even smoother--I'd say that of the three, the CK fabric is the most comfortable for me personally. Features. All three have a comfortable, taped neck seam. J and CK also have taped seams across the shoulders. However, FOTL has an untaped shoulder seam. Neck opening. This is important, because of course the idea of a V-neck is for the T-shirt not to show. However, the neck openings of outer shirts vary, so the larger the opening of the T-shirt, the more accommodating it will be. FOTL appears to have the largest neck opening of the three, CK is next, J is the smallest, at least among the samples I have. Regardless, these openings are not deep or wide enough to accommodate some of my dress shirts. This was the only real let-down among these V-necks. Your mileage may vary! I suppose the bottom line is that these three T-shirts are all competent, but the differences among them may cause one or another to be more compatible with personal preferences. My own preference is CK, but--other than finding the neck opening too small for a given outer shirt--I don't have a problem wearing any of them.

XLT is big enough for more than most larger people
Finding the Tall Vnecks from Calvin Klein is difficult even on Amazon as they are usually not available. I just bought a XLT and a 2XLT I'm 6'4 300lbs solid build with little extra in the center. The XLT fits way better for me than the 2xlt. The 2xlt is wider and taller, it goes down about 4" part my waist where the xlt is perfect length I have 20" arms and the sleeve snugness for me is perfect on xlt and still pretty good on the 2xlt. Hope this helps for sizing Overall I really like these shirts and do not write many reviews. For reference most other shirts I'm a 2 to 3xl

The material is thinner than a lot of t-shirts. I like that but it means they are not the toughest.
I do like the overall quality of these shirts and the tagless design but I do get holes in some areas sooner than I would get on a more normal thickness cotton t-shirt. I would recommend them and buy them again because I like a light material T-shirt ( in a dark color ) that is cool to wear. Don't believe what they say about wearing white on a sunny day... that's wives tale. Just like if you were sitting under a shady tree you want the darkest leaves possible AND air flow to cool you underneath it. That's why these extra large black shirts work well for that.

Best fit ever for my unusual sizing needs
Finally a T-shirt that is the size it claims to be. I ordered a two-pak of XL-long, and they fit better than any T-shirt ever has. I'm 6'4" and very long-waisted, so I need a shirt that will not ride up on me - hairy belly revealed - and also have room in the shoulders for me while not being too big in the waist. I haven't washed these yet, so I don't know if they'll shrink to much or out of shape. But the price is fair given my sizing needs, and hopefully they will remain in their original shape and size after many washings.

Extra large tall shirts are bigger than regular extra large shirts.
I love the shirts. Just a heads up I am 6 ft3 in 220 pounds I ordered the extra large tall shirts and they are a little bigger than the regular extra large regular shirts . I will be ordering large tall next time so I can use it as a undershirt but it is nice enough to wear as a casual shirt by itself. So to recap the extra large tall shirts are bigger than the extra large regular shirts so order One size smaller if you get the tall shirts unless you like your shirts baggy

Lightweight and very comfortable.
The V-necks are extremely soft, lightweight, and comfortable. Very minimal shrinkage in the ash, but I only wash in cold water and dry halfway. I also got the crew necks and they developed a mild case of "bacon collar" after the first wash. These V-necks did not. I'm 6ft and about 250lbs and these fit perfectly. By perfectly I mean a little loose. I do not like fitted shirts or heavyweight shirts. These CK's are neither fitted nor heavyweight. Great undershirt, or just for lounging.

Great fit for my 6'8 husband!
My husband is 6'8 and it's so hard to shop for him. He's been needing new v-neck tshirts and they're harder to find than I thought. So happy to have found these Calvin Kline shirts. As soon as they arrived, I made him try it on and it's awesome! Fits perfectly, not too snug, and not constricting. V-neck is low enough for him and the shirt is long too, instead of it usually being too short or eventually becoming a belly shirt. I'll probably be getting him more in the future.
