Perfect base layer for winter activities

This is a great base layer for winter. I bought it for hiking. Tried it out downhill skiing on a 5-degree sunny day with a fleece layer and my jacket. I was sweating and will ditch the fleece next time. So much warmer and more comfortable than polyester long underwear. It is intended to fit snugly and be thin under garment to your outer layer for outdoor activities. It’s like wool long underwear.

Light to middleweight layer

Be aware this is not a heavy base layer. Great for shoulder season or layering over another base layer. I wear it all the time!

Disappointed

Honestly, disappointed in this. for it being a "heavy weight" base layer, it's very thin, and is see through in the right lighting. Color is a lot more purple than pictured. Sized up to an XL per other review recommendations and I'm glad I did. I'm normally a medium or large and this is not oversized on me at all. For reference, I'm 5'7 ~165# athletic build.

Inaccurate material information

Base layer is Not heavy weight material, more like light/middle weight material. Not as warm as other sets I’ve ordered from Carhartt.. I have the base layer light gray and the rose color heavy weight material outfits and those are warm and amazing for Minnesota fall/winter/spring weather .

Thin

This morning the temp is 22, I added this under 2 other layers and the material makes me colder. I'm very disappointed since this is suppose to be for extreme cold days. Will be returning. I usually wear a med and did get a large, it fits good. So Def go up at least 1 size.

Nice, but too short.

I am only 5’4” and typically wear a 0/2 in pants. I ordered this shirt in an XS and it barely touched the top of my jeans. I returned because it was too short for my taste. The material was very nice though.
