Looks good, feels nice, cat likes it!

I bought this for my most recent rescue cat, an adult male who'd been outdoors for who knows how long. I put it on him and he didn't object at all. Most cats who are unfamiliar with having collars on try to pull them off or bite at them, but he didn't. He's very bright. :) Anyway, the collar itself is very nice. It looks good, has a nice feel to it, and once I put his tags on it the jingling of the tags and bell provide a subtle sound that announces his arrival in a room. The color I chose matches his amazingly beautiful sky blue eyes. Since he's strictly indoors now, as all my cats are, it's unlikely he'll ever be in a situation where the collar's safety release will come into play, but it's nice to know it's there just in case.

Good for the price!

These are cute and pretty well made. After several months they started to fray a bit. But good for the price!

Breaks way to easily

My cat lost the collar same day. I thought wow he must be really getting into trouble! But thankfully I found the collar in the backyard and put it back on him. Nope. Comes off literally an hour later. I know it's suppose to break off. But it's a little too good at breaking off with minimal force applied.

Collar disappeared within hours! Poor quality.

This collar came off my cat the very first day he wore it. He went out in the morning, and came back a few hours later without the collar. His last collar (a different brand breakaway) lasted over 3 years! This one lasted less than half a day. I'm very disappointed in the quality of this purchase. Not only are we without a collar again, but the brand new tags I just bought for him are gone along with it! Now I have to buy another collar and another set of tags before my cat can go out again. I understand that the whole point of breakaway collars is that they can detach, but there's no point at all if the collar detaches that easily. Then your cat is less safe--he has no ID!

Do not buy

Once you clasp the collar, one little tug on the collar it unclasps. Waste of money. Now looking at others.

The breakaway snap is so weak that my cat was able to get it off in less than three hours.

Terrible!

This collar looked beautiful, but it was useless because it fell off randomly every few minutes. I have an indoor cat, and I literally watched it fall off as he walked through the living room. I have owned cats my whole life, and they have all worn collars. I have never had a collar that fell off randomly like this one did. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COLLAR! Safe Cat is a very good brand for breakaway collars. I recommend them instead.
