Beautiful! Faithfully Captures the Look & Feel of a Classic Tiffany Design! Right Down to the Color Palette!

Seriously doubt you are going to find a more gorgeous, high quality lamp in this size anywhere. Leave alone one this nice for such a laughably affordable price! We searched through nearly all of the Tiffany & Co. style ceiling lamps on the Amazon.com web site before finally landing on this awesome classic Dragonfly style that Tiffany & Co. was famous for offering back in the late 1800s early 1900s. We had seen a few other models that offered a similar classic Tiffany Dragonfly design, but the colors used just didn't look right for some reason. Basically missing the mark when it came to reproducing that classic 19th century Art Nouveau inspired color palette. (The original Tiffany Dragonfly lamps used a variety of colors and designs, but I always liked the lamps that used a vintage color palette like this beautiful reproduction). We had the lamp professionally installed yesterday and everyone at the house was blown away by how beautiful this lamp looks in person. Photos just don't do it justice! We had a wall plate dimmer switched installed to run this lamp at our home which I highly recommend because it gives you the ability to vary the brightness of the lamp during different times of the day. Changing the brightness of the bulbs changes the color values of the stained glass, so you can actually control the way the lamp appears to your eye by altering the level of light shining through the shade! Two 60 watt bulbs are the recommended max for this fixture, but if you don't use a dimmer I would suggest going with something like 40 watt bulbs because even with two of these lower wattage bulbs that lamp is pretty bright. The quality of the lamp is first rate and all of the supplied parts fit together perfectly without any issues. The instructions that were provided were clear and easy to follow although we had our lamp installed by a professional electrician. Who by the way remarked at the high quality of this lamp compared to the hundreds of light fixtures that he has installed in the past. I took that as a ringing endorsement of this product's quality which we had already remarked on even before this professional got to work wiring the thing up and getting the hardware attached to the mounting surface. I purchase a good many products from Amazon over the course of a year, and review many of those products here on this site. This lamp definitely ranks in the top three products we have purchased over the last 12 months, and very likely will be the #1 score of 2015! It seems pretty obvious to us that if you are in the market for a high quality light fixture, especially one in the Tiffany & Co. styling, then Chloe Lighting is a brand that has few equals anywhere near this price range! 5 STARS without breaking a sweat!

nice to look at, awful to put up

The lamp itself is very pretty. I do like it after it's been hung...however hanging it was one of the worst experiences i've ever had with electrical stuff. i bought 2 lamps, trying to install the first one the wires snapped because they got twisted around the central screw. i installed the second one and got it working...barely. i think it may be a fire hazard. went back to the first one, installed it, and it wouldn't turn on. the wires had come undone while screwing it in. basically, here is the problem: the central screw through which the wires go is about 1/2 inch too long. because of this, the wires get wrapped around it as you screw it in, and by the time you get it screwed in all the way there's a ton of tension on them. my solution (after a good night's sleep) was to take a hack saw and saw off 1/2 of the screw (being careful not to cut the wires) using the now shortened screw made a HUGE difference. the wires didn't get wrapped around and it installed easily. they need to re-manufacture these for better installation. as they are now, i wouldn't recommend anyone buy them unless they're prepared to modify the lamp prior to installation.

And I thought IKEA instructions were bad...

The installation instructions for this light were by far, the worst I've ever come across. I mean, they took their instructions to a degree of awful that even IKEA isn't capable of. Complete and utter nightmare. And even now that it's hung...I'm maybe only about 80% sure it's right. It's definitely is a pretty light however and my wife is pleased with the look of it in her craft room.

Color not as depisted

I’d viewed innumerable fixtures before choosing this! It was beautiful BUT the colors of the delivered unit were entirely different from depicted! Browns/greens ca primary colors!

Light is gorgeous

It seems walk in retail lighting store have a very small selection of lights. So I went to Amazon and searched for mission style or arts and crafts lighting and found these lights. Site unseen and a kitchen remodel... They look great! I bought 3 and there are in a row down the middle of the ceiling. There are also canned lights. All of the lights are LED. The only thing we did wrong is buy 40 Watt LED lights that are not quite bright enough but last for 25 years. :-) I would recommend a higher wattage LED light for these.

Solid but, nice colors!

I love the colors in this light! Although it seems fragile when handling, its fine once mounted. Wipe off the oil before handling it smells strange. Best used as maybe entry way light, as it the glass is a little dark I have tried several bulb colors to see the difference. Overall I love it , great price too.

I bought this lamp to replace a bare bones white ceiling fan we did not use. I love the look of this lamp at night when we dim it to the lowest level, revealing the beautiful colors and dragonflies in the lamp itself as well as enjoying its reflection in a nearby fireplace mirror. It is a big improvement over the look of the fan!

Looks great

replaced an exposed bulb pendant light in the bedroom with this shaded light so my newborn son didnt have to stare at the exposed lightbulb. one of the best lamp purchases I have ever made. My 4 week old son stares at it and is amazed by its colours.
