Don't take the rope out if you plan to play tug

I untucked the rope from around the rubber ring to play fetch. My dog tugged twice and the rope broke from the plastic. I tucked the rope back around and will use it that way. The rope makes it seem more durable. I like Chuckit! toys and have bought a lot of them.

I need to review this one by it’s 2 parts.

The media could not be loaded. The rope part didn’t make it past the first day. But to be fair, my Rotty pup is one helluva toy killer. After many wasted buys & tries of different “tough” toys, the only toys that have made it are the ChuckIts!! I cut the rope part off & the loop is one of his fave toys. He still plays with it.

Chewed Through in Less Than 10 Minutes

Our dog chewed through where the rubber holds in the rope pretty much as soon as we gave it to him. We love this brand because it stands up to aggressive chewers, so we were disappointed when this toy did not.

Good for moderate chewers

Good for moderate chewers, but better to be played with indoors.

Fun idea, but it doesn't last.

This toy is a great idea, and is the perfect size for medium or small dogs. But it doesn't last. Within 5 minutes of playing with my medium dog, the rubber ring ripped and he had left several holes with his teeth. Sad to see the durability just isn't there like many of the other toys made by Chuck it.

So So Toy

It only took 2 days for my terrier to chew through the ring. The dog was able to put a hole where the rope connects.

not tough

My dog isn't much of a chewer and our chuckit balls are still intact after a year. But the rubber part of this toy was torn in a matter of minutes. Not tough as promised. Don't want to bother returning it, but would not recommend. Would prefer if Amazon sent me a replacement.
