They dont open wide enough

They barely open up about a 1". And that is not enough. They also fail quite often. Which these are ment to hold things up and if they fail. Then whoever is on the ground better watch out. They do release rather easy. Even when clamped tightly.

Quality tool.

I use this tool much more than I ever thought I would. I have a collection of vise grips, several designs, sizes etc. But this was the 1st of this style without the rocker tips on the clamp jaws. This ridged jaw tip is SO MUCH BETTER than the swivel tip design, that I'll probably never use my other style for anything.

Clamp doesn’t open enough

I am a metal stud framer and clamp needs to open wider out of three clamps one failed I would ask for another one but that’s to much of a hassle

if you wanna clamp two pieces of steel together or whatnot these will definitely do it. The release works 1000% better than the Irwin vice grip brand.

fit and finish was a pleasant surprise.

I really like the feel and the weight of this c- clamp plier, it is easy to unlock , jaws close evenly, well almost, this tool is as precise as it can be expected. It has a clean surface all around, well ground and polished, the joints are not sloppy, the knurled adjusting screw has a nice feel to it and it is smooth. I always buy good quality pliers and highly recommend this brand.
