Amazing!

This is the most comfortable bra I have ever worn! I am 70 year old and have been diagnosed with breast cancer. I will have surgery in 2 weeks and had to get a post surgical bra. I am so relieved to find a bra that will be such a beautiful hug when that is exactly what I need. Thank you.

This is a truly supportive and easy to wear bra for post mastectomy

I was totally taken off guard to have a cancer diagnosis since there is none in my family. So the process of surgeries and products was quite a maze to get through! While I found great help for most questions, there was NOTHING to aid in the selection of post-op bras. After several surgeries, I've learned firsthand that Amoena is THE BEST! I literally tried dozens and dozens. Some were just too soft or contoured or clumsy. This one is tied with the Patricia style. I found that if the cup is a bit large in the Ester, one can simply add a foam cup as found in workout bras. The Ester is a bit more tedious with all hook and eyes, but it lays a bit more discretely under clothing since the Patricia zips and may show the toggle at the neckline of some clothing.

Pretty good support

Wish it had been available in a 34DD. I originally ordered a 36 DD, but it was too big around. I exchanged it for a 34D which fits better but I could use a little more room in the cup. Recovering from a partial mastectomy and radiation and suffering from lymphedema in that breast. The two rows of hooks are wonderful as I can wear it looser on days when I have more swelling. It was not available in any color other than white when I ordered it. Wish there were more colors. Adjustable straps are nice also. I have purchased a lot of bras following my surgery and this is the best one I’ve found. I normally wore a 34DD before surgery.

Well-made, Comfortable Recovery Bra

This is a good post-surgical bra; however, the product description is way off the mark. The cups are not molded, as described. They are synthetic, soft fabric with Spandex for stretch. Even though the product description states that the pockets are "breathable cotton," this is not the case on the product I received. In fact, there seems to be no cotton in the bra at all. Here are the specs on the fabrics used: Front: 42% Polyester, 41% Polyamide, 17% Elasthan Back and Back Insert: 88% Polyester, 12% Spandex Pocketing Fabric: 80% Polyester CoolMax, 14% Spandex, 6% Polyester Cups and Extensions: 80% Polyamide, 20% Spandex. The fabric feels soft, though, and the front closure works well. The adjustable shoulder straps are a plus, especially for those who do not want a tight racerback fit. There is a tight elastic band beneath the cups for added support. The bra seems true-to-size. Update: Amazon has now corrected the fabric information. I have worn this bra since my surgery two weeks ago. It is comfortable and provides the perfect amount of compression without excess pressure on the incision. At night I still use the cotton compression bra provided by the hospital, but during the day this bra feels cooler and lighter. Also, the elastic band at the bottom of the bra does not dig into the skin at the bottom of the sternum (the hospital bra has a heavy-duty, bulky velcro closure that can really irritate skin; the hook-and-eye closure, in my opinion, is far better than either the velcro or a zipper).

It’s taken me two years and 4 bras to tweak the fit of this. I have lymphedema and I am supposed to have a compression bra on 24/7, 365. To make it work, I had to go down from a C cup to a B. It tends to have a tight midriff so I upped that one size. The fabric tends to yellow faster than I hoped. I try to replace them 3 at a time instead of 2 at a time. I really wish this company made this bra in off white, or taupe. That would take care of the yellowing issue.

Bra may run small.

I ordered this bra for wearing Post bilateral mastectomy. The band curls up on me putting pressure on tender incisions. However, as my healing progressed, this pressures became less of an issue. I actually think I should have ordered a size up so this bra might run small. I missed the window of exchange because I was preoccupied with surgery. It is a well made, soft bra.

I love it. It is just the right amount of ...

I am using this bra post revision surgery for breast reconstruction. I love it. It is just the right amount of support. I would have given it 5 stars but the band keeps rolling up (I am a little overweight, so that might be the problem). Also, the top snap keeps coming undone. Overall, I love this bra. It is comfortable to wear 24 hrs a day (3 weeks down, 3 more to go). I hate when I have to wash it and wear one of my old surgical bras from the hospital. I don't want to buy another bra since I only have 3 more weeks to go, then I can go back to being bra free :)

Great bra post-surgery!

This is a great bra! I purchased this for my explant and breast lift recovery and it is great for compression and keeping them secure. It’s been a great bra for everyday as well. I am 4 weeks post-op and planning to buy in white as well!

Order a band size up from your usual size

Excellent post op bra, I had a lumpectomy with reduction and lift. Read the reviews, I usually wear a 42 band so ordered a 44. Perfect fit. Soft and snug, great side support. The band does curl up on us larger gals when bending over or sitting, but is a non-issue really as it doesn’t come close to the incisions, and is not uncomfortable and hardly noticeable to me. I doubt I could find better.

I also got mislead and had to pay duty

Despite having two of these bras already and exactly the same size this one had been stretched over the cup and therefore did not fit. Possible had been tried on and stretched. I am having to return it. I hope the company will refund both lots of duty. Amazon should make it clear when products will need duty paid.
