Good sandals for my plantar fascilitis

I needed a pair of sandals for the summer and over the winter I had developed plantar fascilitis in my foot. Regular sneakers would hurt my foot after wearing them a while and I couldn't walk more than a mile without my foot hurting. I tried these sandals and even though they look skimmy, they work on my feet. They have the support that I needed to walk without pain.

Comfortable

This is my 2nd pair in 10 years. They last a really long time. I like these for hiking and the beach since they can get wet. They are also comfortable to do a lot of walking in.

Not attractive on foot

I was surprised that I didn't like this sandal, given all the positive reviews it's received. I have a narrow foot, so this is one of only two Teva styles I can wear. I like the other style and hoped to find one I liked just as well that might fit even more securely on my foot (because it has more straps). The sandal fit, but I do not care for its appearance on my foot; in my view, it just isn't attractive. My search for a sturdy sandal for the narrow-footed continues.

Straps at ankle started separating from sole

Love the fit of these sandals so much, and this is a highly rated brand. Was very disappointed to wear them on two Saturdays, to find the anchor straps at the ankle separating from the sole. I wasn't sure if this would continue, but I paid too much for these to be having this issue with less than 20 hours of wear. And seeing they are glued in, wasn't sure there was any better remedy for it. So I reluctantly returned them. I expected sturdier construction from Teva.

Very comfortable, on my troubled feet!

Love the heel cushioning, and great arch support. The sandals are attractive, too. I highly recommend!

Too much weight on forefoot

The arch is placed too far back on these and forces my weight forward onto the ball of foot. I have Morton's Neuroma in one foot, so weight on the ball of foot is very painful, but even in my normal foot the ball of my foot was starting to hurt from these. The Tirra has a much better placed arch, but I prefer the style of the Verra so much more. I wish the Verra were the same shoe as the Tirra just with a different strap style. Sad to have to choose between pain and style, but appreciate the Tirra's comfort. Note for any others with a neuroma or metatarsalgia: I had the same ball of foot pain with the Hurricanes XLT2, but not with the Universal Classics.

Ive bought these 3 times

The first pair was my normal size - and they were too long. The second pair were half a size down and I wore them like religion for a couple of summers - until they were stolen. I loved them. Missed them. Bought them again. Comfy enough for long hours of walking. Grippy enough for trails. Great for swimming in waters with rough shorline. Cute enough for sundresses. In a perfect world they would be all black - but until then these will do.

Comfortable, with good arch support

Very comfortable shoe. The arch support is good; my feet didn't hurt at the end of the day, which is rare without added arch support. Fit was good. Light on the feet and not clunky looking like some shoes in this style. The only thing I wasn't happy with was the strap length. The shoe is advertised for high arches, so I would expect the straps to be a bit longer; I could just barely get them attached over the top of my foot.
