Not 38 inches high

It is a really nice screen easy to assemble. However the description said 38 inches high my opening is 38 inches high however the screen is about 35 inches high 38 inches is the top of the two holders that are attaching the screen to the frame so the screen does not cover the opening

Mind the gap.

This is a nice looking screen. I like everything about it but the fact that it has a large gap at the bottom, which allowed a big 1 inch chunk of tamarack to pop out, which shot to the front of the hearth. This could have been a problem if we didn’t have a large hearth as it would have landed on the floor……. Otherwise functional and very attractive.

Not see through like other screens. Hides my arched fireplace surround perfectly.

Cats...

I really like it, sturdier than expected but I did not take into consideration my cats being able to fit behind it. It may not be safe with animals and I will have to get a different type. It is summer in Alabama, so I will have time to see how they do before I turn on the fireplace.

Great quality, looks good.

Great quality but either I didn’t pay good attention or the measurements are the screen portion minus the feet. We cut 3” off the bottoms and don’t use the feet and fits cleanly on our fireplace. We don’t use the fireplace so have some Velcro hidden behind the top to help keep it in place. Love the look! Quality was great.

Lean Lean Lean

The screen is beautiful and just as pictured. I read the reviews about the leaning, and I thought I could alter it if that was the case. I can, but I need to add almost an inch to the front feet. I’m no engineer, but it’s top heavy, and the “pins” that support the frame on the back feet seem to contribute to the forward “push.” I’m keeping it, as it is the perfect rustic screen, but it will need alteration.
