Great, fun paint to use
I used 1 bottle of this to cover one side of a standard door with a thick coat of crackle. This was my first time working with crackle paint and it was confusing to me at first but I am happy enough with the end product as crackle paint can be notoriously difficult to use. Here are some things I figured out mostly the hard way. This goes UNDER the top coat of paint that you want to look crackly. This is clear and glossy. If you want the base another color you have to paint that first and let it dry completely. I applied this on a 1960's wood hollow core door. I did no surface prep either and for now it is sticking well enough but I would advise surface prep for long term use. I wanted large weathered crackles for a more rustic look as opposed to tiny cracks so I put on a very thick coat. If you want THIN fine cracks then put on a THIN coat. If you want the crackles consistently the same size then try to make the crackle paint consistent in thickness. (this may seem obvious but I didn't do that and my crackles are inconsistent sizes. I like to think of it as "rustic"!) The crackle kind of beaded and clumped together on the door (tried to get a picture of it). I used a 4 inch bristle brush. Then the tricky part- waiting the right amount of time until the paint is "tacky" or sticky but not dry. I waited around 20 minutes when it was warm with very high humidity. Pay close attention because it goes from tacky to dry (and therefore useless) very quickly. Then I painted a thin top coat of ivory latex paint over it. It started to crackle immediately which was cool to watch and the crackles continued to enlarge and increase until the paint was dry. Was a fun easy fix for an ugly door. No it's not perfect but I intend to replace it eventually but custom doors can be expensive and crackle paint is not! Any way some final advice is- Paint the brush strokes in the direction you want most of the lines to go in both the crackle and the topcoat. Use a dropcloth the top coat drips off the crackle a lot. And if you have enough paint I would try experimenting with thickness of crackle and drying times by practicing on another surface first before you try your final project. Crackle paint is really an art not a science! Good luck happy painting!

Adds Sparkle Minus Glitter Mess
I love this sparkle glaze!! I am a retired, Early Childhood Educator. I have always disliked the use of glitter in the classroom and my home for many reasons. It can be so messy and with younger children they tend to get glitter in places you would never think they could get it. However, It is hard to avoid using glitter especially, around the Winter holidays. I found this sparkle glaze and thought it might be a better alternative than not using glitter at all. It works great! Right now I am using it for signs and crafts for Christmas. The glaze will go over the top of a specific color of paint or just painted in the spot you want some extra sparkle in. The sparkle is not chunky like glitter is, but there are many surfaces to bounce light off of. I would recommend it for any type of craft that needs the sparkle. It is also economical, because a little bit of the glaze goes a very long way. The clean up is almost none, just clean the brush and wash if it gets on the skin.

Perfect for what I needed it for
It comes out if the bottle very watery, but that's part of the perk because it spreads paint very evenly and smoothly and helps stretch my dwindling acrylic paint supply. Used it on faux leather and it worked like a dream (or would have if I could just get the color balance right...)

Great product for quilling
I use this for protecting my quilled jewelry. It does protect it pretty well and further secures the pieces from coming unglued. I like that while it makes alot of colored paper pop, it isn't a glossy finish that makes the jewelry appear "cheap". The only problem that I find, is you must use very light coats or you will get white spots and can ruin the quilled piece especially dark paper. I dip my paint brush in the bottle and wipe most of the product off before applying.

It worked pretty well, but it is hard to tell when ...
I've used it once. It worked pretty well, but it is hard to tell when it has set up long enough. Some of it got too dry and didn't crackle very well. Over all, this product did what I wanted it to.

It Works, It Works, It Actually Works!
I tried this product in a journal I am making for class, and the instructor was impressed! The process is simple, but you will need a few additional supplies: paper (tape it down), dark acrylic paint, light acrylic paint, paint brushes, water cup, and patience. Simply paint a layer of dark or light acrylic paint on your paper, let dry. Then paint a layer of this crackle medium, do not let dry past tacky, but it must be tacky to work. Then carefully paint a layer of opposite color than your first layer, let dry (cracks will appear)... it's that easy!

Doesn't work. Don't waste your money.
Doesn't work. Followed the instructions and it just dried flat and didn't crackle at all. Completely useless. Threw it out.
