Came Scratched

I paid the new price on this purchase but it had obviously been somebodies return. All inside packaging had been torn open with screws rolling around in the box. The handle is scratched. We also got someone’s pencil that was left in the box. The box was in perfect condition. There are no instructions. We weren’t planning on installing this for a couple of months and without any instructions I am not sure if any parts are missing. the finish is what I was looking for as far as color. Not sure why it was sold as new.

Won't Fit on Older Delta Control Valves

After checking signals with Delta to confirm my control valve was a Series 13/14, I ordered the oil-rubbed-bronze, trim kit, but unfortunately, found a problem with it. As seen in the included pictures, my older control valve was too long for the handle to fit onto the valve sleeve. Another problem was the shorter, valve-cover sleeve was only long enough to go up to the face of the wall plate, but not through it. After calling Delta Support for help, sending multiple pix of the control valve & rough-in, the new & old trim kit parts, and talking with them for over 1-1/2 hrs, they gave up, explaining there had been a version change of the Series 13 control valve making it a bit shorter. The trim kit had then been redesigned to accommodate that shorter length. At the end of the call, I was offered two options: 1. buy a new valve-cover sleeve ($51) separately to replace the short one in the kit; 2. they said they would email me a list of 4 different trim kits in Venetian Bronze that "might have handles deep enough to cover the end of the control valve. I could then try buying one at a time to hopefully find one that would work." Unfortunately, after providing my email address, I never received that message. Giving up on using a Delta trim kit, I began scouring the web looking for something that might work, and happened across a trim kit by Danco, "model 10562 Fits 1300/1400 MultiChoice 13/14 600 Series Delta Shower Valve Trim Kit, Oil Rubbed Bronze". It was available at Amazon, Home Depot, and Menards at different price points. A nearby Menards had one in stock, which I bought after measuring the sleeve and handle depth. The quality and fit, while not as good as the Delta kit I had ordered, worked. I'll submit a separate review of that item. The ordered Delta kit was of excellent quality and installation (other than as described above) was simple as a replacement item. A new valve was included with the ordered kit.

Very nice shower faucet handle - needed new valve

My old shower handle was a Delta but had 2 levers - one large to turn the water on and a smaller lever to control the temp. Both were getting almost impossible to turn with my aging hands. My plumber friend installed this new one (which matches all the other Delta oil rubbed bronze fixtures in my bath beautifully). Because the existing handle was pretty old (maybe 15 years), he had to buy a new valve to make this one work. Getting the old valve and gaskets out was tricky but he finally got it. I can now control the on/off and temp with one easy movement. It's the little things that make life so much easier. Took off one star because the new valve does require getting used to. UPDATE: the valve my friend used turned out to be the wrong one and after several showers, stopped working. So we called out a plumbing company and they said - yep - wrong valve - close, but not quite. They installed the correct valve and now this handle works like a dream - LOVE it! So- if you have an older faucet - you're probably gonna need a new valve - not included.

I Love It

Mine was made of metal..Some kind of light weight aluminum for the ring and metal handle. The collar though was made of plastic. The title says trim only so I was pleasantly surprised to see a new monitor 14 valve in the box it came in. It matches my other oil bronze pieces (shower head, spout, and bathroom faucet). I love it. Simple yet elegant and does the job. It was also less expensive than the other delta monitor 14 oil bronze valve trim that was being sold on Amazon.

Piezas defectuosas o de muy mala calidad, tiene alguna garantía?

La primera que compre no duró ni tres años. Compre una nueva para reponerla hace menos de 5 meses y la la instalaron, en este tiempo van dos veces que el plomero la tiene que revisar y arreglar porque no funciona bien. Esta vez ya se descompuso la pieza donde embona el maneral por tener baja calidad. Se barrió totalmente y no gira. Cómo contacto al proveedor para garantía?
