Arrived damaged

I love the looks of this stick. It's classy, medieval, shiny. I realized there's a warning "this collectible walking stick is not recommended for orthopedic use", but as it is labeled as a walking stick, it should be functional as a walking stick, right? I was needing a cane (pretty much for balance only), looking for a shiny looking cane, and was excited to have found this. Like another reviewer's here, mine arrived with the pewter tip detached already. I debated whether it was a defect or a design flaw and regardless, I decided to send it back. I considered fixing it with a glue, but there was just too much gap between the pewter tip and the wooden part of the stick it surrounded. I'd have had to put a whole lot of adhesive material to fill the gap and even then, it wouldn't have held the pieces together strongly enough to put weight on. I want my walking stick for walking without the concern of weight-bearing. I saw that too little adhesive was originally applied to said gap also, which made me lean towards poor design/production rather than defective item. The packaging was actually quite well done (double box + packing paper to prevent shifting) this time and if design flaw is making it prone to damage en-route, I'm afraid to receive it broken again, which has so far swayed my decision not to reorder.

Cane Display

This time for the 2nd chance it did not break on its way to delivery. This time I am satisfied with my cane display (which I will use on special occasions only). It has arrived like I expected to be and I am happy. Thank you.

Like it but not so practical on hard surfaces...

Looks like the picture but the head isn't quit as dramatic and overpowering as it appears. The stamping on one side is lighter or absent compared to the opposite side. Would have been a better cane if it included a rubber cover over the bottom point that meets the floor. I can't use this on the parts of my home that have tile and definitely not usable on my hardwood floors! The tip that that meets the ground is also pewter, looks cool, tapers down to about 3/8” but if you really need it to support your weight on hard surfaces, you don't want this. I’m not sure if I’ll keep this one yet. It’s a great looking, once in a while cane but unfortunately, not practical for everyday use.

Feel like a warrior

Got this for my brother's fiance for Christmas. She loves it. It fits her and has a nice weight to it.

Decorative only

This is a very attractive piece, but entirely decorative. The bottom is a pointed pewter tip, which would be dangerous to put any weight on, and the shaft is very light wood. The handle fits over the shaft with a minimal amount of wood inside the pewter for support. Again, a beautiful piece, but not at all practical. For the price, one would expect an attractive cane that could also be used.

Attractive Design

It was an attractive design in head pieces. The overall cane may not be the best design for a walking stick in the sense the ground tip comes to a point. This make it sink into soft surfaces and impacts transmit up the shaft. All in all it is a great decorative cane and will be used in future costume concepts.

Design and manufacturer flaws. Detached tip and longer than advertised.

The walking stick arrived before its anticipated delivery date, but the tip was detached, probably due to the manufacturer's use of a poor adhesive material. That defect makes me wonder if the head will become loose and fall off at a later date. For the price, I expected those parts to be permanently fixed to the stick. When the tip is in place, the overall length is 37.5 inches long - about 2 inches longer than advertised. That difference is like trying to use a golf club or ski pole that's longer than your normal reach. I will probably return this to Amazon, rather than attempt repairs.

Slart looking. Ornament good to look at n good weight

I love this item.its smart has a good weight to. Looks good feels good. But what they dont say online. Is that it can't be used as a stick they wait until its delivered . And u get a slip of paper not to be used

Not as good as it looks!

As a prop it's ok at best I'm afraid. Casting and engraving details are amateur and not as refined as they appear in the pictures. The spike was loose on the bottom. If I'd paid under 30 pounds I would have been less disappointed and probably kept it. However for 80 pounds I was expecting far far better quality. Very annoyed as I was looking forward to using it.
