Made in China. Lead paint. Don't try to take this through any airport security; it will set off alarms and you'll be delayed by security at every stage of your journey, believe me, and that includes having them in your checked baggage. Otherwise, they are pretty, well made, and sturdy. Including the attached base, they are about 5" high.

Attractive but Not Precise in Its Detailing

This is a very attractive item from a distance, but its beauty fades close up. When I think "Faberge-Style" I think intricate, detailed craftsmanship, but this box doesn't deliver that. It's much heavier handed than I was expecting for the price. I think as a container for something else, it's interesting, but I wouldn't describe it as "Faberge-Style".

I just got the egg nice color dark purple and white with a gold trim size 4 inch just beautiful with nice fake big dimons on the top smaller ones on the side the only thing there's no magnect security :(

Nice for what I wanted it for

I wanted to write this review in good time as Mothers day is approaching. This is of a small size but big enough to put in jewelry as a gift or something similar. It is of a decent weight so not something that is going to be knocked over easy and its quite well designed. I did read it was hand painted and in parts can appear a little crude especially around the base. That being said I think it would be a rather nice thing to place a gift inside of for someone. Its hardly a collectors item but both inside and outside the purple colour is very nice, the hinge feels reasonable but I am unsure about how long lasting it will be. Giving it three stars may appear a bit harsh as I do like it but its more of a gift box for me than anything else.
