Sexy little Faun.

I bought this because of the male form, and it did not disappoint. The whole item looks elegant, the color and the square base, it looks fancy. I love the details of the muscles and body, overall a nice figurine. However I thought it would be bigger, it was much smaller and slimmer than I hoped for. But still pleases me with the beauty of the male form, the image portrays poetry, sexuality, psychology, the sexual energy of fauns, myths, and greek literature. I hate that fauns are associated with evil, mostly due to the wrong Christian views on sexuality, perhaps by the catholic church. Fauns were associated with lust, wildness, things not very catholic. They became a metaphor for male energy, for freedom, something I like. The original statue in Europe is much thicker in its shape, thicker legs and a more muscular body, but this is just fine. I am pleased with it, its very sexy and elegant, and I refuse to associate it with evil, it is good.

Who doesn’t need a naked, prancing faun?

This is why I shouldn’t Amazon after taking sleeping meds. But really, who could regret this purchase of a naked, prancing faun. Francis fits perfectly in our “Room of Oddities” so Francis stays.

Lovely statue

Reminds me of my many trips to Pompeii. I will turn it more like the tarnished bronze statue that it actually is. Good attention to detail!

Too skinny and small!

I really want to say something good about this figurine, but I cannot; and, I am sure that I ordered the larger version. Fortunately, I only paid less than Australian $100.00, and it is very unlikely that I would order any such figurine from Amazon again. The Faun is small, and the limbs are too skinny unlike any such classical figurine should be - it is not done properly. My first impressions were thus, but there is no use in returning it. Thanks anyhow, I will stick to buying books only.

Very pleased with the statue ,but be aware these can be fragile even though they are made of resin, I had to buy a replacement when the first one was accidentally dropped and the arms broke off.however both statues were excellently detailed and quickly delivered
