Amazingly lifelike
This is my first Toscano garden statue and I'm so pleased with it. I absolutely love Mandrake! It is a really lifelike sculpt, very detailed and looks so alive. It is not very large, only 8 inches tall but has a lot of personality. I've placed him in my flowerbed next to the front stairs. I've put this outside but there weren't any instructions on if it could survive a long wet winter. Since it is made from resin and stone, I am hoping he will be ok during NE Ohio winter without any damage. I may bring him in when the first snow hits though, just to keep him looking good. Overall I'm super pleased with this statue.

Wonderful garden decoration
I don't know that this "Design Toscano Mandrake the Tree Ent Statue" was intended to be an outdoor decoration, but that's where we've put it. He's out with the little fairy statues that the lady of the house likes to decorate her garden with, and he fits right in! The sculpt is very well done, the cast is top notch (no flashing or rough mold seams), and the paint / color is perfect. I can only hope it'll hold up to weather for a while. If you have a spot in your heart for creatures of fantasy, you should certainly appreciate this well designed / well made little statue.

Meet Bob! Bob now guards my espresso machine, passing judgement on all who walk before him, especially those of the not yet caffeinated variety. He’s also utterly fantastic at startling hubby at 3 am even though he sees him every day, and he knows he’s there, but yet.... EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. I also really love the expression that the neighborhood kids get when they finally notice him! Seriously though, this thing is super sturdy, VERY well made, and I adore him!

Lifelike details
This piece is wonderful. It looks like a stubborn tree gnome or troll, I am not really sure which creature it is. The details truly bring it to life. This is a solidly made piece that is very eye catching. I am thinking about making it a table centerpiece for our fall get together. A great gift idea for lovers of all things mystical.

I have this guy amongst my ferns. He looks grumpy and protective, but he fits in perfectly surrounded by vegetation. He blends in nicely and does not look cheesy.
