A sheer delight to cut with!

I have been cutting hair for 25+ years. For the past 5 years I only do friends and family. When the lockdown started, the place I get my good 800$ japanese shears sharpened was closed. I bought these thinking that for the nominal price I could do 20 haircuts and just toss them. Well I have done way more than that and these are still sharp. For the price these are awesome! I have very small hands and the smallest size fits perfect. Really impressed with these, especially for the money. I have purchased many types of shears on my life and after cutting with them, I would have assumed they were in the 125-160$ range. I like them so much i still have not gotten my expensive ones sharpened. They are light, move well, and have very thin tips to texture and slither with. Very surprised and delighted with this purchase!

Better for the category?

These are so-so. I know how to cut hair, but am not a licensed Cosmetologist, somI can’t buy the really good shears. I give haircuts to my family and both my kids have incredibly thick, straight dirty-blond hair and it is unforgiving of any level of imperfection. These shears have a hard time getting through it—they are too lightweight, barely sharp enough and not pointed enough at the ends. Not terrible, given the options, but not a benefit to my hair cutting arsenal either. The search continues.

Precise cuts with less energy

I will caveat this review by saying that: - I have little experience with professional grade shears - Ordered this to groom my dog who has very fine hair (not fur) That said, I did order another shear from a different brand. That other one was essentially worthless for the very fine hair my dog sports. These Fromm shears made the task of precise hair cutting with a not necessarily cooperative subject so much easier than the scissors I had been using. They move near frictionlessly that it also took less strength and energy than I'm accustomed to. They are very sharp...so sharp that I actually sliced a bit of my own skin, so I would caution on that. I rated this shears a four star (vs. five) only in that I don't have a lot of first-hand knowledge nor experience with other professional grade shears.

Small finger holes but phenomenally sharp! Hands down best shears for this price range!

Definitely one of the best shears on the market for under $75. For its price it’s definitely, undeniably, THE BEST! I’ve tried multiple shears ranging up to $80 and this was better then them all. Sharp like nothing I’ve seen before. Cuts hair like a warm knife cuts butter! Good to know that the finger holes are pretty small. Now that’s a plus for me but some other barbers in my shop couldn’t even get their fingers in. I’d suggest that they make different sizes for all finger sizes but they didn’t ask me. Great buy and well worth it!

Great For Amateur Hair Cutting

I've been cutting my son's hair since he was a baby, and I've used a variety of lower end hair scissors ssince I refuse to break the bank on them. My last favorite pair was a Conair pair, but I started noticing that they weren't cutting as effectively as they used to. So, I started the daunting task of finding a new pair and Amazon had just what I needed. These hair shears arrived fast, fit my hand perfectly, and definitely came sharp. The blue inset on the handle is so bright in color that I feel a little bit dainty while cutting hair with them. ;) These are definitely a pair of inexpensive hair shears I would recommend to anyone! !
