HAVE DOWNGRADED REVIEW!

This slip leash is ingenious. Whoever designed it thought through every aspect, issue, problem which could occur and addressed it. First, the material is soft - pleasant for you and for your pup. Also, being suede-like, it does not slip too easily. But the extra special feature, which is not even mentioned in the description, is there are 2 tabs which are on the leash and slip to wherever you want them. What this means is you can place one so the leash stops at a certain point and does not mistakenly open up and let your dog escape. (Am not sure what the second tab is for, so I just slipped that one up high and out of the way.) I absolutely love this leash and would give it 10 stars if I could. This is perfect for my 11 lb. Havanese, and would think it would be good for up to 25 lbs. Am not sure about a giant Schnauzer. UPDATE... less than 2 months later: Alas, this wonderful design does not wear well at all! I use this slipleash on a 11lb Havanese, ONLYa few minutes a day to walk her to the driver who takes her to doggie school. This morning I found that it is almost broken through in 2 places near the neck end - an area too high up for her to have chewed through. My conclusion is although the design is excellent, the cloth material is not. Do not buy!

Good product, but not for a small puppy.

I got this for our 2-month old Chihuahua, thinking it would be light-weight. It's soft but a little stiff for a very tiny puppy, so will keep it for when she's bigger. I think the seller should note that it works best with a dog bigger than 5 pounds.

Pretty good overall; some things to know

Difficult to adjust. Tends to twist. Microfiber doesn't slide well and pulls on the puppy while I'm trying to get it off! That said, it's nice to have a softer [than nylon strap] and less bulky [than most] leads. Short; but that's what we were looking for. I would recommend it to someone patient and/or with a patient small dog or puppy.

Best Leash I've Ever Used!

Love this leash! The length was great because I don't like my dog to get too far away from me. The soft fiber covering the leash is amazing, I walk dogs for the humane society and normal leashes can be rough on my hands after all of the pulling, this leash helps cushion that. I love that it is machine washable and has a guard to make sure the lead does not get too lose from around the neck, risking losing your dog. Right now I am fostering a pit bull and the durability of the leash is holding up well. The price I paid (about $13) was an insanely good deal for what you get. I would absolutely buy another!

Good if you need something cost effective for short-term use

Pretty good for the price, though the loop meant to act as the slip very easily slides over the two guard fasteners so you have to be mindful of your dog slipping out of it if he’s not pulling it super taught.

Comfortable!

Finally! A slip lead that feels nice to grip. It's soft and I love the color. It worked well on an exuberant 1.5yo boxer/pit bull mix who was visiting. I draped it around my neck like a scarf to have handy if she got too bouncy and needed to be leashed to rein in her jumping.

I love these. They are easy on my hands

I love these. They are easy on my hands, hold a shape that makes it easy to 'lasso' the intended dog and are the perfect length. The only problem I have with them is that all these DogLine leashes are so easy for the dogs to chew through. I know, my bad.
