Perfect for our older Eljer!

No more slow leaks here!! If you have an older Eljer and have had trouble with slow leaking using the "universal" flush valves that stick on with plumbers putty, then give this one a try. (Just be sure to really clean off any remnants of the old putty first... mineral spirits works well.) You have to pull the tank to install it with the new bolts (supplied) but it's worth the trouble! It's an EASY job, just more work than you might be thinking of doing. If you replace the tank gasket at the same time you can have a nicely refreshed and working toilet! If you already have the bracket installed on the bolt (or after you do the change out if not), then changing out the stopper part is super-easy! (PS> the plastic part for the handle inserts from the front of the toilet.)

Exact fit for what I replaced.

Went to my local big box store and while I found a multitude of options I couldn’t find this. When I entered brand of toilet and part name it was the first option that came up. Within minutes of receiving I installed it. No issues!!

Perfect for my 1972 toilet. The parts are just like my originals.

Very glad I found this! After my original flapper deteriorated, I had been getting by using the Fluidmaster PerforMAX 2 which I only bought because going in person to the big box stores, that was my only option, lol. Just to let you know, that Fluidmaster can work if needed. It's connected to the tank by only a ring of putty, so it's not ideal as the thing can easily get unseated, but it's better than buying a whole new toilet. One day it occurred to me to try and search online for these replacement parts. I still had the original handle and anchor in place. Personally, I just needed the flapper, fork and chain. It took me only a couple minutes to install. I'm very happy with this :)

Works well

It’s easier to order this on Amazon than to try to find in a brick and mortar home improvement store. Everything aligned and sealed up nicely in the tank. It would have been nice if the kit would have included a new nut, bolt, and washer to hold the hinge to the inside of the tank, but it doesn’t. Just be aware of that when removing the old one. Don’t mess up the old nut and bolt. You’ll need them again.

Perfect fit for Eljer toilet

Perfect fit for an Eljer toilet. Leave the mounting point in place for the flapper arm. If you’re changing that, make sure to use a good close coupled tank to bowl kit.

Inexpensive & Darn Well Worth It

Its a cheap toilet repair kit. It sorta works. The instructions are not especially informative, but it's a pretty simple device really. I only used the handle to repair my toilet as the rest of the original components were still working fine. My problem is that the flush handle will not stay in place. It is supposed to be a press-fit installation I would suppose, as there are no fasteners or a place to put a fastener of any kind of there was one. I tried Super Glue, but in a few days, it loosened up again. I'm going to pull it out again and see if I can't MacGyver something more permanent. I suspect that the judicious application of a drill press and maybe a cotter pin or something will keep the handle in place. Really, though, somebody somewhere should have come up with something better than this.

My old toilet needed this part. No other part will work (I tried). Searched High and low. could not find part - even from manufacturer. Low and behold. Amazon had this exact part I needed. Now my running toilet works fine.
