Good clamp

I didn't even know I needed one of these. Saw a guy on YouTube using one and thought, what the heck. A fine clamp. Good quality, can adjust the angle. Pretty cool.

Great, less expensive, alternative to bessey!

First, let me say that I am an experienced cabinet maker and am somewhat of a perfectionist so my rating is not based on just occasional light use... I purchased 2 of these about 7 years ago after having 4 of the bessey version for several years and needing more but not wanting to pay the bessey price. I also purchased the stanley one that was out at the time and that thing was truly junk! Anyway, when compared to bessey, these are quite literally identical with one exception... The ones I received had a very nice rubber handle compared to the wooden one on bessey however It looks like irwin has now switched to the wooden handles too, and I can see why. I was using one of the irwins today when the rubber handle slipped and made the clamp useless. I've never had this happen on a bessey, but like I said, it looks like irwin switched to the bessey style handle now so maybe this won't be an issue any more. As for keeping things perfectly square, I can understand how people would have a problem if they are using this as a clamp, it would not work at all. If you want something that will hold your boxes or drawers perfectly square until the glue dries, then these are for you.. In order for these to do what they do best, you must assemble your box FIRST, then use this to hold it square until your glue dries. Again, this is not for holding pieces together during assemble, but instead for keeping things square after assembly while the glue dries.

Work well

I make many drawers-dovetailed, whatever. These make them stay square after glue-up and are simple to use. No idea how long they will last, but they are effective. You do need at least two of them for them to work on a box or something similar-I use 4 - three of these and one red one. To me, they are an advance in woodworking.

A simple easy to use corner clamp, can be used in a number of ways. Good value.

Great item, a no brainer on some kind of Irwin sale, a name I trust and a item I have used. And while this Irwin model is identical except for colour, even not on SALE, it was still at a reduced price over what I had paid. I had need for a couple of pair in past, these days a pair will do. A few years ago I had broke one of the two, so this was great chance to replace that. That being said I discussed this with someone who thinks I have had that item for about 20 years. Great item I had used them for framing up canvas and making frame components for finish framing. I imagine window frames or repairs or many types of restoration's might need something like this. While I used them with wood, I imagine they wood work with similar sized projects made in aluminum as well.

Great value corner clamp, but you get what you pay for

This clamp is a great value for the money. Great for clamping uneven sizes together. I do wish the clamping faces were a bit taller. Currently it's tough to join longer pieces. Also wish it could handle about a half inch longer pieces to really make it perfect.

Better than other clamps

Overall this clamp works well; especially when compared to cheaper products. I've only had need to use them for one project with several corners. These worked relatively well but you still need to be careful to properly align the corners. They are not self-aligning. The single screw design is much better than competing products two screw designs. Not perfect but a welcome addition to my other Irwin clamps.

rubbish do not buy

i purchase this product over a week ago turned up today opened it allready to use and the clamp broke without using it such a disapointment do not buy this it cheap and usless

They work as intended and appear well made, but....

The metal screws are well machined so screw smoothly into the ferrules. The screws are also chromed so will not likely corrode. The wooden jaws are nicely milled, are smooth and square, so they clamp uniformly. However, the tips of my pair of clamps have 1 1/2-inch cracks extending into the wood. They won't last long like this and so, unfortunately, I will be returning my pair. Too bad because otherwise they would be excellent handscrew clamps.

Prácticas pero de baja calidad

Hacen su trabajo, sostener piezas a 90° sin embargo el material es de mala calidad, en las cejas que actúan como prensas no hay un soporte extra, lo cual hace que se rompan muy fácilmente, en pocas palabras solo la debes apretar en cuanto no se mueva, un poco más que eso y terminarás con una pieza rota como me pasó a mí.

Te ayuda mucho a sostener la madera a 90 grados, buen agarre, el mango es antiderrapante, tengo el bessey y su mango es liso, me gusto mas el mango de este, lo recomiendo

Good price - average quality.

These turned out to be smaller than I pictured in my head. I used them to glue up some medium sized picture frames and they got the job done okay. I think I should have gotten the Bessie ones though. The price on these is very good. Seems like a low grade metal on these.
