Poor quality control... 2x the cost of the heater already wasted in troubleshooting

This doesn’t work and has been challenging and time consuming to troubleshoot. If you are silly enough to buy it after the other negative reviews (as I was) definitely be prepared to test it right away (we were still building our plunge pool, so it took a while to finally install and test it) and return it right away if it looks like it isn’t working vs trying to troubleshoot... it seems like this product has some serious quality control or design issues. The temperature display and control don’t work on outs (only shows OFF or 105 doesn’t let you adjust the temp) and it trips the (appropriately sized) breaker constantly.. which my electrician tells me is due to some fault with the heater vs the electric set up. The support people at the company were nice enough and said the unit I got probably had a faulty controller and sent me a replacement, but after the replacement arrived it looks like a controller board for a completely different product... now I am back to trying to get them to send me the right part again to try to get it working. The installation and troubleshooting process has taken so long that it now puts me past the return window for this product, which never worked to begin with! I wish I had regarded the other negative reviews and purchased a different heater to begin with... I could have bought one more than twice this price given the time and cost associated with installation and troubleshooting a broken product.

Great for small pool or spa

Great product for small pools or spas. We needed a low amp heater for our 500 gallon spa. The first time it took about 4 hours to heat the water from 88 to 104. You just set it once and walk away. It turns off and on by sensing water flow in the pipes. Now I have the pump timed to go on at 8am and flow at a low speed throughout the day. 5pm it kicks up to a higher speed so when we’re ready for a sunset soak it’s at the perfect temperature!

Broke within a year and support wouldn't cover warranty

Worked great the first year but was broken when tried the next season. Called support, did the self troubleshooting and was told they would not cover repair because didn't register warranty even though they had the serial and when it was purchased. Worst company to deal with.

I have a small tub in the tropics. So it doesn’t have to work that hard.

My tub is about 400 gallons, cinder block and stucco, partly below ground. The heater heated the pool about 25 degrees in 5 hours so quite a bit faster than advertised. I only just started using it but so far it works great.

Only lasted 6 months

6 months after enjoying hot water this product no longer heats water. A hot tub heater should at the very least last longer than this. I see from the reviews this is a very common problem. Be warned.

Dial does t work out of the box

I bought this and installed it a month later. The dial doesn’t work to adjust the temp, it’s stuck on high. I cannot return it because I waited too long

Put this on your HOT TUB and yank out that spa control board and junk it!

With this you don't have to be a prisoner to your HOT TUB! Put your pumps on separate switches (With a GFCI of course) and never have to call your Hot Tub tech again! THANK YOU ECOSMART!

Economical.

Heats up my jacuzzi in about an hour. Jacuzzi is 500 plus gallons and does not use much energy.

It worked only for a short time, low quality

Heater was professionally installed last year and it worked well for a month to heat a 12 feet round pool up to 29-30°C at the end of August to beginning of September. It was removed and stored inside the house over the winter. When it was reattached this year it worked for a few days and after that it stopped working and it never started again. Very low quality product, don't buy!

Calentador defectuoso

El equipo es muy bonito y estético al lado de mi jacuzzi de 1 m3 pero no puedo controlar la temperatura, viene calibrado a 140°F y no hay forma de aumentar o disminuir la temperatura. Calienta muy bien y rápido pero no se puede ajustar. El Servicio a Clientes del fabricante nunca contesta.! No lo recomiendo.
