Excellent to use under make up

I hace Discoid Erymatosus Lupus and have tried several types of mineral sun block. Elta is the best. Don't leave the white "ghost" cover. Excellent to use alone or under make up. Love it!

Best face sunscreen

This is recommended by lots of doctors. Works great for sun protection and doesn’t burn your eyes. Expensive but worth it

Love this stuff!

I got this partially for sun protection and partially for wind protection. I live in the PNW and this winter has been really tough on my skin. I didn’t have problems before because of the mask mandates, go figure. This stuff has saved my chin and nose from the chapped, dry, redness caused by the bitter wind. It’s very heavy so I don’t know if it will be good for summer, but as a winter weather shield it does a great job.

Great product but…

I know this may sound strange, I really like Elta MD for the sun protection and moisturizing BUT it feels very heavy on my face. I can feel it on my skin all day and that’s what I don’t like. Well, that and the scent.

One of the best!

I have used, I would say, probably every physical sunscreen there is out there being EXTREMELY pale and intolerant to both chemical sunscreens and UV light so I have to wear sunscreen all year round, everywhere apart from in my house (because I have the curtains shut). I also have really sensitive skin that has got worse as I've gotten older which doesn't help and has limited what I can use further, as has the use of nano titaniun/zinc as people don't want the white caste which is actually what reflects the sun off your skin with the titanium dioxide sunscreens and so protects it from the UV rays! That being said, it has no become really hard to find a sunscreen without nano particles or chemicals that actually works without also making you look like you've dipped your face in a chip pan! This one does! It doesn't smell nasty, doesnt oxidize to make you look orange and has good lasting power. Also, for those of you who don't want to look like a goth/vampire, it doesn't do that bad on the "white makeup" look if you rub it in be done use too much.

This is “the smack”

I ordered this because of on of the dermatologists in the Doctorly YouTube described it as “the smack”. I agree. It tingles a bit when I first put it on so I feel like the active anti-aging ingredients are kicking in. It is lightly moisturizing and I have slightly oily skin so I worried about that, but it seems to absorb and isn’t a problem. It’s a bit shiny for a minute at first, but it goes away and/or I dab it once with my bath towel. My skin is looking great (glowy, good texture) currently, which may be a combo of things I’m using but I feel this is contributing and honestly, any EltaMD sunscreen I’ve used has been amazing. (Never greasy, blends well into my skin and doesn’t interfere with makeup.). I would highly recommend this, and ANY EltaMD sun screen.
