Beautiful but hard

I loved the challenge of putting this puzzle together. It was very difficult. The puzzle pieces were all the same shape and almost color. I had planned to frame it when I ‘finally’ finished it. Unfortunately, there are three pieces missing. I was pretty bummed and naturally the return date had passed:(

Very Difficult

This was a gift for a puzzle expert. I received the grid cut version of this puzzle. The quality is very good. Some people have stated that they received a version with a sort of random jigsaw cut. If so, I don't see how they ever got them finished. The hardest part were the dark pieces toward the bottom and left. Sometimes only three to four pieces were installed per hour during the "dark" phase. Once the sky was reached, things sped up a little. If you want a puzzle that will drag out for many days, this is the one. Update: The quality was superb. There were no pieces missing. Once about half the sky was done, it started to speed up a little. We estimate it took 20-25 hours to finish it.

I love this puzzle, but it is missing a piece.

I was gifted this puzzle a while back. It took me about 2 months to complete. After finishing the puzzle there is a piece in the center missing. I figured I may have lost it due to it taking me so long to finish. I ordered the same puzzle in hopes to find the 1 missing piece. I have complete redid the puzzle and the piece is not in the new box. Very disappointed, because it’s a hard puzzle to complete. I wanted to glue the puzzle at the end and frame it.

The pieces in this puzzle are more complicated than particle physics, I assume (never was a science person). Not only are you matching this little swirl to that little swirl but the pieces don't even resemble traditional puzzle pieces (see attached photo). Prepare yourself. That being said, this was probably the most fun my family and I have had together in a while, just because the pieces were so laughable. In the end, there was a missing piece though which, honestly, just made me angry. Here's the good part of the story though: I contacted Eurographics customer service and they were AMAZING. Because each puzzle is cut individually, they couldn't simply send out a single piece. So they sent me a whole separate puzzle, completely free of charge. Really, this was tons of fun and the company was amazing. Definitely recommend if you're a fan of Van Gogh and puzzling.

This is a REALLY challenging puzzle.

This is not a puzzle for beginners or anyone with any form of color blindness. Because it is based on a painting, there are few, if any sharp lines. And one needs full spectrum illumination to distinguish between color shadings and textures. I've done dozens of jigsaw puzzles over the years. This one frustrated me more than any other. But I did feel spectacular when I finally got it done.

Great puzzle.

Great puzzle with unique piece shapes. Bought for housemates and it them ages. A couple of the pieces were damaged on opening.

Wonderful experience. Excellent printing and very precise pieces. It is by far the most difficult jigsaw that we have encountered. Partly due to the master's strokes and partly due to variety or random shapes and sizes of the puzzle pieces. First timers will struggle but experienced will enjoy incredibly.
