Brand:DEWALT

3.8/5

3072.82

5palcová jednorychlostní orbitální bruska DWE6421 s podložkou suchého zipu má 3ampérový motor, který dodává 12 000 OPM. Samostatné protizávaží redukuje vibrace a spolu s pryžovou overmold rukojetí poskytuje pohodlné broušení.

Vylepšený sběr prachu a prachový sáček s uzamykáním jednou rukou. Vylepšený spínač utěsněný proti prachu pro ochranu proti vniknutí prachu pro delší životnost spínače. Pryžová vrstva ve všech kritických oblastech brusky. Oddělená konstrukce protizávaží snižuje vibrace pro lepší pohodlí elektrické brusky. Menší výška ruční brusky umožňuje uživateli přiblížit se k obrobku. 3,0-ampérový motor orbitální brusky roztáčí podložku rychlostí 12 000 OPM.

Husband loves
Bought this for my husband because he lost his other sander. He loves this and it's easy to use.

Just do it
No need to scour all the bajillions of options, go ahead and stop here. It sucks up the dust SO well, and is soooo much more efficient than my previous ryobi. My jobs take way less time and are way smoother because of this lil guy.

disappointment
i have the earlier model of this, the 421, that is not belt driven. I took it apart and was impressed with the earlier model it was designed to last. The design of the drive source and the source of the random movement are pretty good and should last the life of the sander. The design was pretty foolproof other than possible electric problems. Not so for this model, the DWE6421. I bought it and took it apart and it appears to be designed to sell replacement parts. As a whole it seems less well built than the 421. Not the only issues but two that are a concern / irritation: It is belt driven and the belt is pretty thin. I would expect the belt will have to be replaced periodically. The dust collection port, if you don't use the little bag which is basically useless, is an issue. I connect my sanders to my shopvac wannabe and it works great. Using a common size adapter you slide the hose over the port which is about 2" long. It is held on by a friction fit and works fine on the old 421. The problem on theDWE6421 is the port that you connect to is about same length but after about 3/4" or 1" it tapers or you only get an 1" of contact between the shopvac connector and the port. As a result you get less friction to hold it on and it isn't really usable. Of course you can go out and buy a customer connector from them which eliminates this problem. Of my various corded and cordless tools this is the only one that I would have to buy a custom adapter for. Again appears to be used to sell parts rather then sell a good tool. The handle has been changed from round to oval shape. If you just do a little sanding this probably won't be an issue for you. When I work on bigger projects the work is stationary and mover around it. With the round handle I can easily grab it and hold it. The oval handle is less convenient in these types of scenarios. I found a new 421 that cost more than this one. I bought it despite the cost. I believe I will come out ahead based on the cost of DWE6421 replacement parts and the expected life of the better built 421. On the plus side I now have a solution to dealing with that "friend" we all have that borrows tools. I'll just loan him the DWE6421 and if it doesn't make it back, oh well. Two stars vs one because it does work as a sander.

Not variable
Definitely a good sander but if your a newbie be careful because there is no variable speed control. You could easily burn threw veneer.

Tools you only have to buy ONCE.
I'm always looking for a deal I can't walk away from, and I found it in this. I've always had good things to say about DeWalt tools, and this is no exception. The tool does the work FOR you, and that's the way it should be!

Best for the buck!
I love my DeWalt tools, and this sander. The first one I bought lasted for 10 years being used everyday. You really can’t go wrong. Unlike others, the bag screws on and won’t fall off. If you’ve ever used a makita sander, you will understand.

Sceptical...but I was wrong.. Amazing
I always go by reviews and I am not a big De Walt fan, BUT I must say this is great sander. From the great cord to the rubber covered on off switch. This is a great random orbital sander. It just does what it says..... period. Update: After having this for some time now, I can say this is worth every penny. You can grab a 100 pack assorted 5 in 8 hole hook pads for 12 bucks and your set. I have used this for several projects and all I can say is its amazing.

Mis-sold to UK market
The product itself is fine - DeWalt make awesome kit. The problem here is that this dodgy supplier is selling it to a UK market, with a UK 3-pin plug and no warning what-so-ever that it will burn out when you plug it in. To top it off, they are refusing to accept a return/refund on the grounds that a claim was made outside their "policy". Their policy - no-one's policy - allows for misleading sales.

made for the US market and should not be advertised for sale in the UK.
This product - made in Mexico is designed to be used in America or those countries that use the 120V system. It is not designed to work in the UK! If you attach the unit to a UK 230V AC you will quickly burn out the motor! At 230V with 3amps that's 690W. The unit is designed to operate at a max 360Ws. It has no earth wire in the plug and is strictly made for the US market and should not be advertised for sale in the UK.

No for UK use
This tool is not compatible with uk electrical requirements and the description needs to be updated to that effect

Dangerous. Should not be sold in UK
This item is 120v and should not be sold in the UK. Potentially very dangerous and should not be available on a UK sales platform

Makes sanding almost enjoyable!
Picked up one of these random orbit sanders when Amazon had one of their woodworking sales, as I've wanted one for my hobby woodworking projects for a while. As I'd expected having owned quite a few Dewalt tools over the years this sander is great, I'm really pleased with it. I was a bit sceptical of the dust bag, generally on sanders they never seem to do an awful lot - I've been pleasantly surprised how much dust this one collects! I'd say it's about as good as a sander is going to get dust wise anyway. Big improvement over my old B&D 1/4 sheet finish sander! The dust bag is fabric, attached to a plastic 'socket' - this pushes onto the dust port and twists to secure so it's not going to fall off. There's a lot of airflow through the dust port (switch it on without the dust bag and you'll see what I mean). The hook and loop sanding discs stay in place well, there's plenty enough power whatever your sanding task. This sander isn't light, and isn't overly heavy - just the right kind of weight, and the weight is also nicely centred over the sanding pad so I've found you don't need to apply as much pressure as with other sanders I've tried - so much less tiring on the hands and wrists. The body of the sander is the usual black rubbery finish so it's nice and grippy, even when covered in sanding dust. Shape and size I find very comfortable. In the box you get the sander, dust bag and owners manual. That's all, no bag, no sanding discs or anything. I've been using Dewalt branded discs in 240 grit, and Bosch for 80 and 120 grit. All have performed well on this sander and last well. Overall really pleased I got this sander, it's made sanding almost enjoyable and noticeably easier and quicker - I'd happily recommend this to anyone looking for a mid-price orbital sander. I looked at various different ones from other big brands which were about $30-$100 more than the price of this one, and couldn't really see any benefit to spending double. Glad I got this and saved my money. My only gripe - Dewalt don't be so cheap, please put a few sanding discs in the box... Hope that helps.
