Good Quality but...

Great containers but too finnicky to seal. We purchased the accessories to go with our Foodsaver Seal Vacuum. Wishing the reviews were better for the hand-sealer - but the cost is prohibitive when taking reviews into consideration. Four stars for value for money based on 'sealing' experience. Shame they don't have a top that encompasses the turn dial on the containers like the do for canning jars - which, by the way, is an absolute breeze.

Does what it designed to do

I like the marinate and vacuum dual function but I dont see a way to marinate off of the machine. Appears you leave attached to the sealer while marinating...

So far so good…

I have used the 10 cup container to vacuum marinate beef jerky overnight 3-4 times. I have read the other negative reviews & mine has held vacuum really well so far. I am concerned with how many times it can be used before the plastic fails… it appears to be well designed & reinforced but it definitely shrinks & expands quite a bit. I make sure to release the vacuum slowly & also use the gentle setting on our Foodsaver. I also hand wash it even though they claim it is top rack dishwasher safe.

Great money saver

I started using these the first day for vegetables. They are working great for a guy like me who makes some type of stir fry multiple times a week.

It's worth it if you already have the matchine! It does works!

The media could not be loaded. Sorry I am not good at making videos but I saw a lot of bad reviews. I feel this is great for those who already have the FoodSaver because this container cannot operatwe w/out it. It is a little work bringing the food saver matching out of our cabbinet use it and put it away (is the only struggle for me) but knowing its worth it. But is the same thing I do when I bring out the air fryer or the blee der out( I put my gatgest away). But it does works and we are pling to get a new container for the cheese. It is a little too spensive. I also wish they had sturdy bags for cheese that I can reuse unless they already have. I feel bad for all of you who have a bad experince. Cheer up.

IS IT ME?

The circular mechanism on top turns to the right or the left and I can never figure out which one is holding the air in and which one is letting the air out so it's a little frustrating. When I do get it right the suction is terrific!

Built well and feels solid

I got this container since my mom needed something to store romaine lettuce and since storing them in a bag doesn't work too well I decided to get her this. The container is built well and is easy to vent when releasing the vacuum. The one this I will note for anyone using this is it does not fit on the FoodSaver FM1100. The container is just too wide so the vacuum part doesn't line up with the valve. This is fine for us since we also have another vacuum sealer with an accessory hose attachment

Worth the money!

The quality of these FoodSaver Preserve & Marinate containers are outstanding. I now have four different sizes and wish I could afford more of them. The dial on top lets you choose either Preserve (vacuum airtight) or Marinade (which automatically goes through a marinating cycle). Yes, they ARE expensive but they do more than just suck the air out of a container, they're awesome. I highly recommend.

12 Min Marinade YES PLEASE !

Amazing !! We purchased the Costco version of the food saver and I was def excited to start using the marinade feature. It was nearly impossible to find anyone including the food saver website to find a container that used the marinade feature. We found one finally on Amazon with prime delivery for a good price. I was having troubles finding pictures of it works worth the oval accessory included. It does!! The size is great. 2 17 0z steaks sit level so lots of room. Very heavy construction so I’ll get years of usage out of. The marinade we did for the cycle of 12 min and let it sit for 30 min Etta ans the flavour was amazing.
