Long lasting bits

I have been using these bits to rabbet sixteen foot lengths of used treated yellow pine. I run the lengths over a router table taking two cuts the full length of the bit to get to a total depth of about 3/8 inch. So far I have had to replace two of these bits, but only after hitting hidden nails. The bit I am using currently is cutting fine after cutting not quite a half mile of rabbets. For the job I'm doing with these bits the quality of the cut is not a concern, but they do seem to cut cleanly and in my regular woodworking Freud bits always perform very well. What has impressed my in this instance is how durable these bits are. I've used many brands of router bits over more than three decades from cheap ones to the American brand usually rated the best, and these bits are right up with the very best in my opinion.

Solid Freud bit; packaging issues

Well balanced and perfect dimensions, so sharp. One problem was packaging however--though packed well, I literally could not pull it out of the mounting. Had to knock it out with a punch, and even then the rubber mount was still hanging on, which I had to cut off with a razor blade. Freud should work on that, because this isn't an item you can keep in its original box.

good stuffs

cuts nice, really nice. no burs or chipping no vibrations just routing, using this in a plung router to cut slots so am using the whole diameter of the bit to cut works great

It's Freud quality

Well build and stay sharp even when heated. The carbide cutters stay sharp after many uses.
