Gardner Bender Top Of The Line Tool

These are VERY Well Made, and will make a Great Addition to your Electrical Tool Box, I used them yesterday to install two Dimmer Switches, and they are a All In One Tool that lets you Cut Wires, Crimp, Strip and Bend Wires.

Excellent, flexible design and acceptable build quality

The "Gardner Bender GBP-61N ArmorEDGE Long Nose Electrical Wire Stripper" has an excellent design and acceptable build quality, at least for occasional use. They might be somewhat handier for the intended use if not quite so large (215mm / 8-1/2"). For their quality they may be a little expensive (22 dollars at time of review). I have handled two of these Gardner Bender pliers and a single "Neiko 02038A 6-in-1 Wire Service Tool", all from Amazon. The Gardener Bender and Neiko pliers appear identical except for the price, the handles, and the printing on the pliers. However, the Neiko I tried operated considerably less smoothly than eiher GB. One of the GB's operated smoothly while the other was a bit too stiff. All three pliers had a raised ridge along one edge of each face of the ridged gripping section. I was able to file this smooth on the GB plier I kept, which probably speaks to the quality of the steel used. The excellent, flexible design outweighs build quality issues and makes these pliers worth having.

Very handy, well made.

Nice tool, well made, handy features. Have owned lots of hand tools over the last 50 yrs of being an electrician, most of it in industry. Klein, Ideal, T&B ect, all well made pro quality. Never thought much about G&B, but, these are pretty cool. A little smaller than Kleins version whitch makes them a tad handier for the the task they were designed for. The tips could be a little smaller for my taste, but no big deal. One thing is, you ain't gonna twist them out of alignment. Good price, supper fast shipping, can't beat that. Might even buy another pair, even though I don't really need them.

Stay stiff

I had the “Neiko” brand strippers that are identical to these until I cut through 277 with them. I figured I’d try these and although they are a little more sturdy, they are stiff and haven’t loosened up in over a month. Hard to use

The handles keep coming off but their nice and very sharp and I love the needle nose.
