borosilicate glass and not - very important

Note that this is borosilicate glass. It is what Pyrex in the US used to make thier bakeware out of. Its soda-lime glass now. I have had two soda-lime glass baking dishes explode over the last two years. The first time, I baked chicked breats at 350, took it out of the oven and placed it on the edge of dry stainless sink. It exploded. The second explosion happened when I baked a turkey in a steel pan, then after about 20 minutes, placed the turkey in an empy soda-lime glass baking dish and it exploded. You can argue a temperature change, but this is supposed to be bakeware. If I can't put a 350 degree item on the edge of a dry sink without it shattering, why use it in the first place? Borosilicate glass (which this is) is better at handling thermal shock. Read about the difference before you make a purchase.

Works great, use it for Homechef meals

Love this to use with Homechef meals that require cooking two ingredients at once.

Good quality bakeware

We had another one of these dishes, in a popular brand, that recently shattered all over the floor. In doing some research, I found that they are now being made out of a different type of glass, that is not tempered. Glad makes this 9x13 with high heat borosilicate glass, the glass that can go from freezer to oven without shattering. I'm so glad I found this.

Really Useful for Meals to a Shut-in

I wanted an oven-proof, divided dish I could use to take meals to a shut-in relative. This is an excellent dish for that purpose. I can put the entree on one side and a vegetable and starch on the other. I could readily find plastic dishes of that sort, but I wanted something that could be kept warm in the oven. I think it's a bit overpriced, and a cover would make it easier to use. Otherwise, a great purchase.

Great Baking Dishes!

I bought two of these baking dishes and just love them. With two adults to cook for, I divide my prepared food into the two dishes...bake one and freeze one. I especially like to do this for casseroles. For desserts such as puddings, I keep one and share one with friends or neighbors. Would definitely buy again!

Perfect size

I had a small baking dish that mysteriously disappeared . . . So, I went to replace it. No stores anywhere had the right size! I usually do not need a hige dish, so I was elated when I finally found this smaller one. It is great for a variety of dishes.

Useful

Smaller than expected, but very useful. Great for my use of doing a casserole regular on one side and minus an ingredient on the other for my picky eaters. I also love to use it as a breading station.. one side wet ingredients and the other side dry.

Best for leftovers

I love this item. Great for leftovers. If you have a little of this and a little of that to make a meal, just put the food items in it, put in oven and heat up. Have a delicious meal for one or two people.
