It is very nice, even if it is not a match for ...

I couldn't get the color I wanted, so I had to choose this. Not its fault. It is very nice, even if it is not a match for my chain. Oh, well, its going to be on the ground, behind a bush, filled with rocks, so probably not too much of an issue.

Beautiful but off balance

Bought this along with the matching rain chain (umbrella). Both really beautiful. It’s hard to find something different for my mom, and this did the trick. The main complaint and reason why I gave 3 stars is because the basin is really off balance. We tried filling with rocks to add weight and balance. It’s still tipping over. The overall length was too short to reach and be supported on the ground so there was nothing underneath it to help keep it level. Only other callout is the way it attaches. It’s meant to go into the opening of a downspout. But my home lives is a community of homes that have no downspouts. Didn’t realize this when I bought it. The main ‘v shaped’ support has no other way to attach it. It would have been nice to have a hole on either side of the bracket and 2 screws, to allow an alternate way to attach it. Overall, it’s a really beautiful price.

wonderful!

I absolutely love my rain chain and basin, I purchased them to go where I get water sheeting off my roof, to help reduce the amount of pitting in my cement due to their not being a downspout in that area, and it is just so beautiful that I am just thrilled with my decision. The construction seems very sturdy and well done, and I can't wait to have this gracing my home for many years!

Didn't weather very well.

The basin worked well, until the water in the basin froze. The welded insert broke free. I now have to repair it before we can use it again.

Not good in winter weather

Loved this basin, worked perfectly until this last winter. The chain that attaches to the bottom of the basin snapped off without any tension on it. I assume it snapped because of ice. Now my rain chain has nothing to anchor it down.

It’s a bowl, people.

Nice bowl shape, attractive patina and - once the hook is screwed-in - captures water from my rain-chain. Slightly larger than I anticipated (which is good) and looks the job in the garden.
