So unique!

The fish are a great look for any waterfront home! They have a great patina on them right out of the box. The fish are big and the quality of the item is very good! I get many compliments on it. I have even seen it in high end gift shops in coastal areas. This price was a bargain! Buy it!

Do You Desire a Functioning Rain Chain or Merely Dangling Beauty?

I bought this chain a year ago & only recently hung it up w/ excitement! We're in a rainy area of Hawaii Island so didn't take long to see it in "action". Disappointed that rain did not run past first fishes mouth & continue down the chain as expected. Instead, it is "splashy" as another reviewer said & was kind enough to post pic. Tried ways to fix...tail end up? Nope. Removing a cpl links at top so fish mouth could catch more water? nope. Wait for a hard rain, soft rain, medium rain (maybe a finicky design?) Nope, nope and nope. It's a poor design if use as a kusari doi (rainchain) is your objective. It was for me, meant to help keep my water garden in a whiskey barrel below filled but no, it creates a splashy mess. Unfortunately I did not see other review stating my same complaint before purchasing. ~I WILL say that traditional designs such as Lotus Blossoms (shaped like large cups) work marvelously. I know, because we had one at our home which is now buried under 80ft of lava. I'm missing sight & sound of that rainchain very much. Thought I'd try a fancier one this time to celebrate our new home & so disappointed that I want to cry. ~The fish design IS very pretty & I do not find it to be of poor quality material as a different reviewer claimed, thus my generous 3 stars. But if a functioning kusari doi is what you're after...stick w/ lotus or anchor chain type designs. There may be other designs that work well & this is not one of them, speaking only of designs I have seen in ACTION. ~Wish I had extra money laying around to get a functioning chain. Even if I could return this one after a year, to me, it is more trouble than it's worth. Moral is, Read reviews before purchase folks! Aloha, J

Relaxing fish rain chains

The media could not be loaded. Love the copper. Only tried the fish in this direction so far, but its working great. The clip they provide does splash some water to the sides but for the most part it works good. It's super relaxing. I added a big bowl on the bottom, and I think I'll add a planted water garden for it to flow into next.

I like fish and I like rain

The fish are a lot larger than anticipated, and they look great at the end of our downspout! We installed it on a windy corner of the house, and it is heavy enough that it does not blow around, yet ok to hang on the downspout without damaging the gutters. Very happy with this purchase and love to watch the rain on the fish rain chain!

Nice detail and patina

Besides the looks, I like that the links are flexible. It was too long for my gutter, so I removed some links and one fish...put that on a hook for garden art!

Great looking rain chain, good value for money

I ordered two these for a longer than usual chain drop at my front entry, with tighter spacing between the fish (by removing a few links and adding some fish from the second chain). The fish are sturdy, well built, and of a thicker material than I'd really expected. This chain patinas well in the weather and looks best with the fish swimming upstream - facing upwards vertically in other words - in my opinion. It performs best with a dispersion area below it, rain disperses off the top of the chain as a shower in some volume, I'd say about half, and the rest runs down the length and into whatever you have below. Well worth the money if you seek a fish rain chain.

So fun and cute

As native Oregonians rain and Salmon are synonymous. So is whimsy so the fish rain chain really fits with our lifestyle. It's fun and functional...even if it isn't really salon fish!

Whimsical and decorative

This is exactly what I wanted it to be, and how I wanted it to look. Not entirely sure what it's made of, but the rings can be gently bent apart and together again, so shortening the chain is a snap. Install was no more complicated than unscrewing the old downspout piece and adding the holder thingy. I just love it when the picture you see is the ACTUAL ITEM you get. I'm so pleased with this purchase! As a personal preference, I put the fish on with their little mouths pointing up ... looks cuter for some reason.
