wasnt as durable as some other brands..had alot of yard to trim and went through it pretty fast!! would buy it again if i couldnt get my favorite brand

Good one to buy

This is the best priced line I could find and works just fine. I don't think the angular, pentagon shape of the line makes any difference with the cutting (versus a round line).

Caution!

If you own the Black & Decker NST2118 12-Inch 18-Volt Ni-Cd Cordless Electric GrassHog String Trimmer/Edger, or one of its kin, then don't buy this trimmer line. The line comes spewing out like a house on fire and within only a few minutes the spool is empty again. That and the fact that it takes some 6-8 minutes to wind it on to the spool made it a mistake in my case. On reading the instructions B&D recommends only *round* line. I don't know why the twisted line won't work in this trimmer while it does in others but at least it wasn't a costly mistake. But it really did a number on the grass when in action!

Improves edging vs the standard string

My husband uses this instead of the string that came with the edger. He has seen a great improvement in the way our lawn is edged.
