Strap is extremely short

Okay, so, had Guess before and liked it. This time… so, Im not the pettite woman, but, I had others try these shoes and no one, but no one could buckle the strap, just too short. I dont know what Guess designers think what is the normal size of an ankle but these look like they were made for 12yr olds… anyways, I didnt know that longer straps are such a big investment.
