Not great

I've worn these in down pours two times on five mile walks with my dogs. Both times I returned with my legs pretty wet on the thighs. I walk pretty fast so I don't know if it's condensation or if there is actual seepage. I just know that I haven't stayed dry wearing them. I will have to wear them without doing anything physical to see if it's just condensation, but so far, I'm not getting any sort of breathability.

Helly Hanson Quality.

Only wore in the rain once but they did keep me dry. I'm 5' 10" and weigh 185# and the size large fits me fine over a pair of hiking pants. Seams are taped and construction seems good. I expect this from Helly Hanson. I have the matching Loke rain jacket and they are both quality items. Can't speak to much on durability as I have only wore them once on a 5 mile hike but they seem to be pretty durable especially for the price. Will update review if things go south and you need to know about any defects.

Waterproof, lightweight, and fantastic!

I bought these to try to try to stay dry on my commute and they are amazing! These have made the rainy commute days very tolerable. they are easy to put on/take off over shoes because they have zippers that go to almost the knees. They pack small, so I can carry them all the time (just in case). They also block the wind, which is an additional benefit. I can't recommend these enough.

not waterproof as stated by manufacturer

I ordered these pants because I wanted a 100% waterproof pant that was breathable and light weight. Well upon recieving them I checked out the design of the pant and found out that that are definitely not water proof . The design of the two pockets are a big fail . First they are regular type zippers , they have mesh on the inside which allows any water to enter in thru the zipper and then go straight into the inside of the pant also the small flap over the zipper faces to the front which allows for rain to go straight into the zipper. They should have made the pocket sealed on the inside as to let let moisture get inside the pant also the flap should be facing toward the rear and they could have put the type of zipper with the tight sealing cover over it.

I was able to inspect and try on these pants ...

I was able to inspect and try on these pants and the jacket while visiting Epcot at Walt Disney World. After reading about these products, I stumbled on them being sold in the shops in the Norway section. Both the jacket and the pants appear well made. Because it is currently winter in Wisconsin (with only frozen precipitation), I have not been able to wear these out in the woods yet. I hope to take these on my upcoming trek to Philmont this summer.

Did a lot of research prior to purchase, and am so pleased at my choice! These are just what I needed, as I walk the dog a mile everyday, twice a day, and need something better than the frog toggs I had.........What a quality purchase!!

Prefect fit.

A pear that actually fits for my size and have room to move in them. I bought 2 pairs.

As the topic, it is a overtrousers. This is OK. But the zipper is very poor quality and design. I know YKK normally means good, but this one bites the farbic every time (the left pocket). It was pretty dangerous when you run into it when hiking.

Not fully waterproof

I bought this for hiking in the rain. It is not fully waterproof. The water did get through via the zip so my pants are wet after 4 hours of hiking in the rain.

buen sobrepantalon impermeable

Digamos que es el clasico pantalon impermeable, salvo por unos cuantos motivos, lleva membrana helly tech performance, eso quiere decir que da 10.000mm de impermeabilidad como mínimo y otro 10.000 o mas de traspirando mínimo. es un sobre pantalón por lo que es muy finito y su gran peculiaridad es que se puede empaquetar en un bolsillo por completo quedando completamente hecho una bola que apenas ocupa, para meterlo en una mochila, no genera calor, ni te hace sudar porque traspira mucho. lo recomiendo encarecidamente si necesita algo ligero para días de mucha lluvia incluso para moto por ciudad. la xl es una cl normal, pero ojo con la xxl es monstruosamente grande

Die Loke Pants von Helly Hansen sind perfekte Regenhosen für quasi jedes Wetter. Dabei sind sie so geschnitten, dass sie gut über einer Hose (und somit auch bei kaltem Wetter) getragen werden können, aber auch direkt auf der Haut. Der Tragekomfort ist ausgezeichnet. Die Hose ist dabei ausreichend weit geschnitten. An Bund und Beinlänge fällt die Hose dabei normal aus; so ist die Innenbeinlänge bei XL mit rund 88cm auch für größere Personen gut geeignet, ohne dass der Bund (ca. 98-106cm) deutlich zu weit wäre. Dabei lässt sich der Bund noch zusätzlich zu seiner elastischen Form verstellen und trägt damit ebenfalls zum Tragekomfort bei. Die Hose kombiniert aufgrund des hochwertigen Materials Winddichtigkeit mit einer hohen Atmungsaktivität und herausragender Wasserbeständigkeit. Das verwendete Helly Tech® Performance-Material liefert eine Wasserdichtigkeit typischerweise um 15.000 mm (10.000 – 20.000) und lässt gleichzeitig 15.000g Luftfeuchtigkeit pro m² über den Tag verteilt entweichen. Gerade auf längeren Wanderungen ist die Hose daher der perfekte Begleiter, entweder als Reserve im Rucksack, falls man vom Regen überrascht wird, oder bei schlechten Witterungsbedingungen auch direkt für die ganze Wanderung. Mit dieser Performance übertrifft die Hose bereits die Wasserdichtigkeit und Atmungsaktivität der meisten Funktionsjacken und Regenjacken. Noch extremer geht es dann nur mit dem Helly Tech® Professional-Material, das eine Wassersäule und Atmungsaktivität mit Werten ab 20.000 aufweist, wobei diese Hosen dann nur noch gefüttert hergestellt werden. Aber auch so ist man für eine halbtägige Wanderung mit teils starkem Regen mehr als ausreichend geschützt und man braucht sich im Vorfeld einer Wanderung keine Gedanken mehr über das bevorstehende Wetter zu machen.
