Breaks Easy

Bought these to hang shelves on a hollow core door. Anchors of this size are getting harder to find at local stores. They are the correct length but the metal tabs that bite into the surface to hold it while tightening, bend very easily causing them to spin. The only way I was able to install these was to hold the head with some needlenose locking pliers. They are name brand, they quality has just gone down.

Go with a different brand

the screw strips in the anchor way to easily. Even with a hand driver it took a couple of tries not to over torque them.

They Worked Perfectly

They work perfectly IF you can keep them from turning as you screw then in the the correct tightness. The simple tip is: Lightly tap them into the material you are inserting them into so that the two small points on the inside of the exterior rim are grabbing into the wall or door's face that you are mounting them in. Then, the two points will keep it from turning while the screw pulls the rear tightly against the inside of whatever it is inserted into. Suggested: Don't use a power screwdriver to prevent overtightening. I mounted a heavy full-body mirror on the inside of a door using eight anchors. Two each top, bottom, and both sides. It will last a very long time.

Would buy again if needed

I live in a mobile home where the walls are thin and weak, making it risky to hang anything unless a stud is handy to drill into...In most cases they're not. I wanted to install aMounted Mail Organizer and Key Holder by the door and aOrganize It All Satin Nickel Glass Shelf with Towel Bar (16905) in our 2nd bathroom so I bought these hollow wall anchors. They're perfect, very easy to install and provide a good strong hold. The one thing I learned which others may already know is that you really have to turn the screw well past the point where you think it's in to get the anchor to open properly behind the wall, otherwise it won't hold!

Great for mounting

They don't have the grip range for half inch sheetrock but they work great to mount hooks on hollow core doors.

very lightweight - low quality

spike that hold it still in wall not heavy enough to hold it still when tightening screw to clamp in place. They bent over. Be extremely careful when tightening screw - very very easy to strip it out. Must be done very carefully by hand only. Stop when just snug.

Not recommended

Was made of cheap material. Tightened screw and before exterior arms drew in and expanded screw stripped out. Leaving a particularly tighted anchor

Fantastic product, A+!

Two of these anchors, and my pots and pans are hanging pretty on the wall! Short enough to fit, and strong for 5 pots/pans. Wonderful product!
