A little weak...

These work fine, but the inner threads are quite thin. When installing these with a 1/4" bolt and box wrench, ai had more than one where they went from "snug" to "inner threaded portion broke in half" in about a quarter turn. So, they will work fine for light duty, but need to be careful when installing and don't depend on them to hold a lot of weight.

Good for perforated square metal tube

I had an application where I needed to mount a latch on a post that was bolted into concrete. The opposite side was attached via tapcon to some concrete block, so I wasn’t able to through-bolt the latch. These fit right in the holes in the tubing, and held secure when expanded. I found it easier to put the screw in and expand the nut all the way out, since I had to hold it with needle nose pliers to keep it from spinning. But then I backed out the screw, and mounted the latch using the same screw. Worked like a charm, and seems to hold well now. Hope this helps someone.

Weak threaded section.

The threaded part is only 2 or 3 threads long, and it's very easy to overtorque the screw and rip out the threaded section. Threads should be at least twice as long.

Trop faibles

J’ai tenté des les installer dans un panneau d’aluminium de 1/8po et dans un panneau de fibre de verre de 1/8po. Ça n’a pas fonctionné dans les 2 cas car ces écrous sont trop faibles. Soit ils se brisent en 2 morceaux, soit les filets s’aplatissent et laissent le boulon tourner sans fin.

not the greatest

Just want to mention these are thin stamped steel and not for high strength applications. They'd be ok for holding on trim, body panels, or light duty applications. To install properly you WILL need an installation tool (there are plenty of videos on youtube on how to make one cheaply). Don't even try to use them without it. You need a hole oversize to insert them then the hole is too big to hold the jack nut from spinning.
