My son loves this ????

I do have to say I wish the instructions were a little bit more clearer. Part numbers would be extremely helper. But overall, it was super complicated to put together. My son is absolutely obsessed with cows and he literally couldn't wait for me to put this together to start playing with it. He loves this barn so much. He plays with it everyday.

Packaged with duplicate parts

The piece indicated in the 2nd photo was not packaged. Rather, a duplicate of the one it attaches to was packaged. Will be reaching out to customer service for a replacement part. Otherwise, as with all of their products, a ton of details in the design and seemingly sturdy as always.

High quality item

I bought this for my grandson. My son in law said it’s museum quality. He said it sure would have been nice to have great toys like this when he was a kid. Worth every penny.

Schleich, missing the 6 "bolts" for the support beams!

For awareness, as I know a lot of product manufacturers monitor comments sections to address issues: Schleich, I got the barn set up and realized the 6 bolts needed to secure the "beams" of the barn were not included in the box. Looked everywhere but couldn't find them on Christmas morning when putting this awesome barn together with my son. Have reached out on your website but have not heard anything back. Want to give 5 stars, as this barn is awesome, but need those bolts. Please advise. Thanks!

Falls apart constantly

When the barn stays together it is beautiful. Unfortunately, it falls apart DOZENS of times a day, and not just one piece, several pieces. It’s become such a problem that the kids don’t even play with it very often anymore because it’s just not worth the frustration to them. For the price I was not expecting that, especially from this brand. There are a lot of design flaws that could’ve been rectified to solve the problems.

Very realistic barn!

Bought this for my son for his 6th birthday. He loves all things farm and this barn did not disappoint. His older brother was able to help put it together. The barn has kept him busy and he enjoys playing with it daily! Overall very sturdy and just a great barn.

Great set and design!

We bought this set as our three year old's birthday gift. It was more than we had planned on spending but when looking at comparable sets, there's a lot of ~$25 sets out there and then there's the Playmobil set and this one. We chose this one because it most closely mirrors an american farm, its size and ruggedness, and the availability of companion sets. To be honest, it is so feature rich that I'm not sure we'll ever appreciate in full all of the "bells and whistles". Assembly required a bit of troubleshooting, one of the walls got a little scrape to remove a injection-mold mark to allow it to slide together better, and the force required to assemble the kit sometimes bordered on excessive. The Schleich USA customer service we received was 10/10. A few small parts were missing and our CS rep was more than willing to help us with any problems, even shipped replacements quickly! To summarize our experience thus far- the engineering and design that Schleich has invested in this product really shows, and other than a few manufacturing/packaging problems (that customer service quickly and happily remedied) this is a set that would be hard to compare to- plus the amount of available new and used sets available makes this very attractive to accessorize! (Our three-year-old will probably be getting additional sets for birthdays and christmases for years to come.)

Frustrating to build but worth it

This is my first Schleich large play set and I was really excited to get this Barn. I will mention it took me a bit over 2 hours to put together. I'm not sure if this is because it was my first set, or because it's a bit difficult to build. Two of the pieces in the beginning would not fit in together and I actually gave up and left it half way in. It does the job still regardless but looks a bit uneven (for me it was the large red side wall on the left). The rest of the pieces were a bit easier but still a pain to snap into place (it's either you have to use a ton of pressure or such a small amount of pressure.) Lots of pieces fell on the floor while building this. The door hinges are not the best design either, as it's easy for them to snap off while opening. The pieces are all a bit wonky but it can be done. Once together it does not look wonky at all, I just want to mention. It looks really awesome. I still give this product a 5 star rating though because if you can get past the frustration of building it, this is actually a really sweet set. I like all the detail they put into the barn itself, animals, and toys included. There are a million play options. The roofs are easily detachable so you can slide them off to play inside the barn, or have them on to play outside the barn. The roofs are sturdy and can also be used as outside gazebos for the animals. The two cow figurines are adorable in person and look great with the barn. They are highly detailed. There are many doors to open, close and slide. There are upper parts to the barn as well to store food or have animals up there. There is a claw that is attached to a string that lifts the hay up (or small animals if you want lol) into the barn or around the barn to the animal pens. It is on a conveyor belt that can go around the barn which I found cool. (I am sorry I do not know what it is called :P) There are outdoor fences, flowers, windows, play food, a wheel burrow that can attach to the man as he wheels food around the farm. There is a ladder, an outdoor grazing area and extra pens. The size of the barn is large and spacious. I got lights from Ikea and put them inside the barn and it looks really cozy. Very cool set, my son loves it. When you are all done you can put the roofs back on and put it to the side as a barn display and it looks lovely. The barn has a texture to it like bumpy red paint which makes it look detailed. Over all I love it, and it's a very fun barn. The play options are endless. I will probably get more items to go with it now. It's just a really cool set.

Amazing toy!

This barn can be described as beautiful and classic. It is detailed and well made. You probably want to have someone with experience building and following plans to put it together - there is a lot to it. The fence was my only big issue - you are supposed to put it together and tie rope to it but the pieces weren't made to permanently stick together. It would have been a huge hassle to put the fence together every time it was moved. I remedied that with some gorilla glue, now the fence posts and pieces stick together perfectly. My daughter loves this barn and has a place for all her animals. I highly recommend this toy.

Decent but could use some improvements

This is a very fun farm for the kids. It was fairly easy to set up and seems very durable. The "metal beam" that the winch rolls on is a bit flimsy and the winch catches on it almost every time which is frustrating for my 4 year old. Also the string fence that comes with it is a royal pain to put together and try to keep untangled.

Very realistic

If you are like me and prefer quality toys this is the toy barn for you... really it’s the toy brand for you! This brand has the best quality, my kids aren’t gentle with their toys and they last with minor damage. This barn was pretty easy to put together and is a very realistic modern dairy barn.

A great home for your farm animals.

Well designed and easy to assemble the Schleich Farm is a great toy. My 3 year old grandson loves playing with it. The ability to remove/replace the roof for easy access is a big plus. If they could design the grass sections/fence to lock together tighter would be helpful. Otherwise a great product. Highly recommended.
