Fits perfect, screws are terrible
I bought this kit to install our new GE PEM31SF3SS, which replaced an older PEM31. I couldn't re-use the old mounting kit because the screw heads were totally stripped out. This kit is correct, even though Amazon's page says it doesn't know if it will work (it does). It comes with multiple templates - we used 31-41082. The screws are pretty hard to find on their own, so getting this kit is pretty much the only way to get the microwave mounted. Be really, really careful when tightening the screws! The heads are really soft and strip out easily. Although the kit comes with 12 screws, they're for 3 different shelf depths so you only get one set of 4 for the shelf depth you need. I would have given 4 stars since the kit is very complete and is exactly what you need but it's a bit pricey for what it is. I took one star off because the screws stripped so badly we almost couldn't tighten one of them down all the way.

Works well in a lot of situations, just not mine. And it had 7 different templates. Which was good.
It did the trick, but ultimately didn't work in my situation. There were 7 templates in my package. It took a good while to "understand" how to use them. But there wasn't enough adjustment to mount the microwave far away from the wall enough to clear the plug behind the microwave. I had to "rig" a bracket from some stuff from the hardware store.

Installation was a breeze.
The kit is awesome, comes with different size screws and templates to help you drill the holes without too much hassle. We installed it in out Airstream!

Screws may be too short. Measure before you buy.
Screws were not long enough. I chatted with GE support and the rep recommended getting the screws at a hardware store. I tried but they are not easy to find!!! I bought this kit thinking it would be worth the ease, rather than looking for the hardware myself. Our upper cabinets have a skirt trim and the longest screws (70mm) in this kit are a hair short when used with the bracket. The only solution I found is to order them from a local hardware store; a minimum of 10 at $16. I suggest you measure the length of screw you need and get them yourself. They are M5, 0.8mm thread.
