Don't know if these are actually redwings?

I've gotten great wear out of this boot in the past. The new pair I received today is marked different I hope it actually a redwing .

Expected better

Shoe laces were two different lengths. Obvious and obnoxious mold marks on rubber sole on tips of toes both shoes. If it weren’t an official store I would have thought I got Chinese ripoffs.

Order your correct size! Don't listen to comments saying they run large!

I can't really say anything about these because they came small. I rated them as fit as expected because I ordered a half size small because a few comments said they run large. IMO they do not run large at all. They run normal sized. If I had ordered the correct size I'm sure they would have fit well. They seemed very comfortable, but were just too small. I sent them back and bought a pair of Wolverines from a local dealer. I'm giving these 4 stars because I think they're good boots, though I have no idea as to their durability or anything like that. I'm only making this rating to warn people to order their correct size with these boots and they should fit as expected.

A LUCKY FIND !!!

Dang Fine Boots !!! Very comfortable and worth a try. They have that nice partially broken in feeling when you try them on. I have worn Diehards, Timberlands, Red Wings, LaCrosse, Caterpillar,... a whole slew of boots... and these are a very welcomed pair. I have been wearing these for 9 months now and they are holding up very well. I chose to not wear these to work as they are very comfortable and I was looking for a sturdy house boot. I wear them almost every day. The rubber on them is much softer than a Vibram sole and that makes a huge difference in the comfort. The inside heel material is wearing through, as all my boots do, but it is a largely unnoticeable thing for me... no discomfort. The soles are in fantastic shape for having a 300lb laborer in them. I am not a heel dragger either. I will definitely be buying another pair before I wear these out... They Are Worth IT !!!

Good as any, better than most...

I would really like it if these Red Wing boots were made in the USA instead of China but I suppose they would be much more expensive if they were. I would be willing to pay more if they were US made but not 2 or 3 times as much.The last pair I had lasted 3 years and were still wearable when I replaced them so for the price I think they are as good as I could ever expect and better than most in that range.

Fit good, lacing up a bit of task

The only complaint at this time is that they are hard to get tied up tight. The laces slide easily through the metal loops, which is nice, but you need to have a plan in order to evenly tighten them up. Maybe different laces would be better.
