Surprisingly comfortable

Two things I am averse to buying on line - head gear and footwear. Genetically saddled with long, narrow bony feet and less than hefty ankles, finding footwear that fits is a challenge. While I know my nominal shoe size, most footwear tend to go to the wider side leaving my feet to swim around in anything long enough to accommodate the length of my feet. While searching for some riding- or engineer-style boots I came across these from Milwaukee Leathers and was very interested but leery of purchasing them on line without the chance to try them on for size. One brick-and-mortar footwear store claimed they carried them on their website but when arriving at the store was told they were available only on line. I tried on a similar looking boot of a different brand but not surprisingly one foot fit well enough but the other of the same size put pressure on my toe. I tried the next half size up but in spite of being larger, the other foot was not happy. I left somewhat discouraged to say the least. Somewhat out of desperation I went ahead and ordered these Milwaukee boots on line since they had laces that would allow you to customize the fit to some extent but also had the zipper to make on/off much less bothersome once you have the laces positioned to fit. Also, the top part of the boot was fairly narrow which made me think these boots may snug up against my narrow lower leg leaving me without the sloppy fit many other boots I have tried, especially when walking. Also, my trim-fit jeans bottoms would be able to fit over the tops of these boots, an added incentive. While I was hopeful these would fit at least tolerably well, I was already anticipating the annoyance of having to return them. What an amazing surprise when I tried them on. They effing fit! My toes were happy, my feet didn't move around inside them and they were comfortably snug at the top. This took some adjustment of the laces but now that I have them set, these are about the most comfortable boots I have ever had the pleasure of wearing. And stylistically, I think they look pretty damn hot to boot (pun intended). They feel so damn good I wear them around the house when ordinarily I only wear sneaks or sandals indoors. My one concern is however, the durability of the zipper. It takes a bit of finagling to get my feet into the boot and then raise the zipper to cinch the top but once in, all is very well but this amount of stress may compromise the zipper. I've had other boots secured with zippers and the zippers were the first thing to fail and it's nearly impossible to get zippers replaced. That all being said, I am beyond satisfied with these boots and look forward to many foot-miles in them. I'm tempted to order a second pair just to have them since boot styles - like everything else - change on a whim and I am very pleased with this design. My experience with these boots may not be applicable to many others but, for myself and my particular footwear issues, these are top-notch.

The sole of the right boot has begun to separate. Good price but durability is an issue.

Very comfy

Didn't need much breaking in; very comfortable right out of the box. Size 14 is true to size. Accommodated my orthotics nicely.

Excellent Quality !!

Boots are great. I wanted a “clunky” boot with lots of character and this delivers. Was comfy from day 1 and the buckles and silver accessories really make these stand out.

They fit great, sizing is wonderful! Leather feels good and they feel quality. Got them laced and tightened up later, enjoying them!

I am used to combat boots and work boots that fit like a sock...... having said that these boots are built well, and grip the pavement when stopping. At first when I wore them, my heels slipped more than I am used to and I wondered if the boots actually fit right, but in every other aspect, they are true to size. To adjust for the heels slipping I laced up the boots and sinched down the straps and buckles and that helped a lot. The zippers are robust and heavy duty, however, there is no inside flap underneath the zipper, so the air comes right through the zipper as you drive down the road. This is very noticeable on the chillier rides. I have half a notion to trying the slip on engineer boots that have the buckle across the ankle and at the top but I am betting that those would slip on my heals even more. Overall these boots are well made and worth their money......

NO WARRANTY SUPPORT from Manufacturer.

The boots are stylish and look good, but the zipper failed 1 week outside of the Amazon return window. I reached out to the Milwaukee Leather multiple times by phone, email and Facebook. I was told by phone that he was a shipper and to talk to Amazon. No guarantees or warranty on their products. I am VERY disappointed in this company service.

Just what I wanted! Good, heavy, well crafted, and having a healthy dose of style. Well done.

These boots are excellent!! Good value for money. I’ve been putting them through the wringer for months now, they don’t even look worn yet. Generally my size and weight (400lb ish) can actually destroy boots in a matter of less than a year. I feel comfortable predicting that I’ll have these as daily footwear for a few years. Well done!!!

Well constructed, good outsole, comfortable

Boots seem to be good quality and construction. Comfortable and easy to put on and off with the side zipper. I like the height and the outsole tread is perfect for biker boots.They also fit true to size. My wife has a similar classic pair and she was happy with them so I thought I'd give Milwaulkee boots a shot and I'm glad I did.
