It doesn’t shine a long beam, but if you are ever out at night, And need to stop someone in Their tracks, this one will blind Them long enough for you to Get to safety, as it has a blinding light and you should Never look into it! It is great for folks who can’t see small letters on the gas or water meters, and tiny “assembly” directions . It fits well in your pocket and to hand hold ,and strap keeps it tighter in one’s Hand, and is weighty enough That your know where it is in your hand or pocket. Not for reading in bed as page Would be too bright. It’s hell to get out of the package—— DO NOT LOOK AT THE LIGHT as you would Need quite awhile to be able To see again!! very bright (100 lumen), very broad beam
Dorcy makes excellent lighting products. I have been a fan of Dorcy for ten years or more. These are remarkable little lights for an inexpensive price. The description is incorrect, however: these lights have an amazing 100 lumen output, not 35. Also, the beam is very broad, not narrow.; it's not like a focused beam. The description says that the handle glows in the dark; this is misleading. The rubber grip has a fluorescent ingredient that, when activated with a strong light, will have a soft glow for some period of time. But most people will be disappointed in the "glow-in-the-dark" feature. In summary, this would be an ideal small light to illuminate a dark room with a very bright, broad beam. Note added 12/25/19: The description and photo are misleading. Instead of having an array of LEDs, the two that we received had a yellow disc that seems to be a COB LED array, accounting for the intense brightness. The technology seems to be an upgrade since the photo and description were generated. Also, the two that we received were both green, not pink as many have complained.

Random Color, Bright Light
If you read the description, you cannot choose the color. I ordered one and I received Pink, ordered another the next day and received Blue, which worked perfectly for my 2 kids. The only reason I wouldn't give this product 5 stars is because the picture of the product should show every color that they are likely to send and write the disclaimer of not being able to choose the color. If they had the option to choose the color I would also give this 5 stars. The actual product is great for what you pay for, especially considering it comes with batteries. The brightness is great and it seems rather sturdy.

Open up carefully to place batteries
I purchased this small flashlight for my 5 year old daughter who needed it for a school activity. We received the pink flashlight, which is her favorite color; flashlight is about 3 3/4" long. I suggest opening the flashlight slowly to place the batteries in, the spring under the cover will push the inside out and you may need a minute to figure out what end goes in first. I used the batteries included in the package; the flashlight is super bright for its size. It served its purpose; let's see how long it lasts. For anyone who may want to know, item states it was made in China.

Nice little flashlight
Good flashlight. Only one problem--the loop in the wristband isn't large enough to fit around anyone's hand. It's a finger strap.

Really bright!
Bought for my daughter for a girl guides sleepover. It’s brighter than I expected! Easy to operate (push button) and the handle does glow in the dark faintly. We got turquoise blue (would’ve been ok with any of the colours).

Faulty description
I have now ordered THREE turquoise flashlights and received 2 pink ones and 1 green one!! As other reviewers mentioned, the description says the handle glows but it really doesn't glow enough that you could actually find it in the dark. Flashlight works fine but description needs to be corrected or buyers will continue to be disappointed!
