This device — you guessed it — turns other electrical things off and on. Revolutionary! In all seriousness, though, it has a pleasing “click” on the quiet end of the scale, it feels neither overly-vague nor does it snap into position, and the wiring was dead simple (and it’s very slim, so even in a small old J-box with other connections, it wasn’t a struggle to fit.... ahem, smart switches!). The gray is NOT glossy, though it’s not matte — I’d say satin, with a slight bit of texture — but it’s not an exact match for a Leviton outlet. See picture: the outlet is a glossy gray Leviton (against white printer paper), and the switch is the Legrand being reviewed, and it’s less shiny. The Legrand switch looks best with Franklin Brass satin nickel plates, but the Leviton outlet looked better with Amerelle brushed nickel plates.... a VERY minor quibble, sure, but most people aren’t replacing white switches with gray ones unless they’re at least a little “detail oriented” (and you’re the one reading the reviews!!)

Why is grey so difficult to procure

Fake product

I have Legrand switches installed all over my house. The one I received is absolutely fake. The build quality, weight, color and the switch sound is very unlike Legrand. Returning the switch.
