Leviton DN15S-2RW Decora Smart No-Neutral 15A Switch
This product fills a niche in smart home switches - an on/off switch that doesn't require a neutral. I have a house full of competitor Lutron's Caseta line, and Lutron only offers no neutral for their dimmers. I installed this switch at the top of my basement stairs where dimming is not needed. I like the form factor of this switch - a very intuitive paddle switch that matches any standard "Decora" switch. There is a small green LED "pilot" light on the switch, which can be turned off in the app if used in a bedroom where the LED could be annoying in a dark room. The toggle "clicks" nicely and offers positive and intuitive feedback as to the switch position versus the mushy Caseta switches (and yes I know Lutron has started redesigning their smart switches, but one Tech YouTuber already called them out for the mushiness of their new paddle style switches). I've become increasingly frustrated with Lutron's mushy Caseta/Pico controls - frustrating to push an on/off button and have it be nonresponsive despite hearing it click. Like most of these switches, they are significantly larger than a standard toggle or paddle switch - anyone making a serious investment in smart home tech should be prepared to replace existing wall switch boxes if smart switches don't fit - removing an existing box in a finished wall can be accomplished without tearing out finished walls - there are plenty of deep "old work" boxes out there that are an easy retrofit and will offer plenty of additional wire box fill capacity - just make sure the depth of the new box is compatible with the depth of the existing hole for the old box. This switch will require Leviton's proprietary WiFi bridge, but it's reasonably priced and I like the small inconspicuous form factor - I have mine plugged in to a power strip in my media closet where a couple other smart home hubs reside. I docked a star for two reasons - the switch disconnected overnight the day after I installed it and needed to be paired again - that seems to have been a fluke, and the switch remains connected almost a week later. The second issue is that the switch can not be used to initiate an Alexa routine - this holds true for Lutron's Caseta line as well, and I can't help but think that this is a strategic decision on both company's part to keep people locked in to their proprietary apps and hubs. I have a number of TP-Link dimmers and on/off switches that can be used to initiate Amazon routines. My hope for this switch was that I could use it to trigger a couple of smart bulbs installed in pull chain fixtures in the basement to turn on with the other bulbs controlled by the smart switch at the top of the stairs, negating the need to walk down into a partially dark basement to switch on pull chain lights. I'm a bit mystified why these Leviton smart switches haven't gained more traction - they are cheaper than Lutron and the switches themselves are far more intuitive - Leviton also offers an "Anywhere Switch" which acts like a Lutron Pico remote but in a more traditional form factor - the "Anywhere Switch" appears to sit a bit prouder off a wall when installed as a purely wireless remote (no wall box), but to me that's a small tradeoff for a better form factor. These Leviton switches have me rethinking my investment in Lutron Casetas - while I may keep the Casetas, I suspect any new additions of no-neutral switches will be Levitons.

These don’t require and electrician
Because this switch does not require a ground, it can be installed in older homes. You do need to purchase a hub but it will connect multiple switches. The hub is not overly expensive and in my opinion is a small price to pay to make your room smarter.

Work well most of the time
Easy to install, works well most of the time. Randomly it needs to either unplugged and plugged in again to restart working. Other times it need to be reinstalled to restart working. After a few months of use it has had less issues and rarely has to be rebooted or reinstalled. Range to light switches isn't the greatest but as long as it's in the same room or adjacent room it seems to work fine. Technically support was great when I contacted them. They responded to emails within an hour most times.

Get this for quality and safety
The smart device market is highly saturated, but if you carefully examine the technical specifications of each product, you'll find that Leviton stands out as the best and safest option for switches, outlets, plugs, and more. One example is its true 15-amp rating, while many other brands are only rated for 5 amps, which can easily cause fires when connected appliances exceed the wattage or when using a dimmer for fan control ????. Regarding connectivity, I have not encountered any issues with Netgear or Google mesh Wi-Fi controlling GE and Philips LED bulbs. The Leviton app is user-friendly, and its integration with Alexa works seamlessly. As of the time of this review, you can easily create routines and identify devices as either a light or a switch.

Leviton DN15S-2RW Decora Smart No-Neutral 15A Switch
Way to go Leviton! Finally, a smart switch that doesn't require a neutral wire to work. You do have to get the Leviton MLWSB-2RW Wi-Fi Bridge, in order for the switch to work, when you do not have a neutral wire. You do need a ground wire, which most homes should have, but older homes usually don't have a neutral wire. This switch/bridge combination finally gave me the ability to control the ceiling fan! Replacing the existing switch was easy and setting up the switch and bridge was straight forward. The Leviton App was good, and it even had the ability to initiate and complete the Alexa integration. Everything worked like a charm. The ONLY reason I did not give it 5 Stars is because it identifies itself as a light in the Alexa App, which it is not, it's a switch. I even removed it and tried to manually add it to the Alexa App as a switch and it still identified as a light. Not necessarily a big deal, but when I tell Alexa to turn off the lights, I don't necessarily want the ceiling fan to turn off too, so I have to keep it separate from that Alexa group. Hopefully this can be resolved with a firmware update. :)

Needs a bigger cover plate
Needs a bigger cover plate, I had to go to paint store to color match the wall to cover the old paint that shows through the small cover plate this comes with, what I should of done was just buy a bigger cover plate :( otherwise it Works great, I like it, and it’s nice remedy for people that don't have a neutral wire in there switch. If There is a delay in the off and on function, as I seen in a review, that is remedied by adjusting the fade on, and fade off rate within the app to zero seconds. Hope this info helps :) I added a pic.

Great...if you don't mind waiting for your light to turn on
The media could not be loaded. I've been trying to connect a couple of switches in my house that don't have a neutral, so I bought a switch and a dimmer with the Wi-Fi bridge. I was hoping to link it to a motion sensor in a pantry, but that was a no-go with Google - the leviton app doesn't allow for the addition of any sensors. I was considering just leaving the switch installed even though it wasn't quite going to do what I wanted, but then I realized the delay on these things is ridiculous. As you can see in the video, you turn it off and it usually responds instantly, but when you turn it on, it sometimes responds, sometimes it doesn't, sometimes you have to hit it three or four more times, despite the fact that the little green light (which in my setup indicates on and off) turns off, telling that your light should be on...but it isn't. It's the same behavior when you turn it on from the app: push...wait...wait... None of my other smart switches in my house have such a horrible response time. I had the Wi-Fi bridge in a cupboard plugin, but tried moving it to within a foot of the device: still no change in the bizarre delay or non-response to the button press. I removed the bridge all together which should have made this just a regular switch, but there was still an extremely inconsistent and erratic response to what should be a simple on-off switch. The support site from leviton did not provide any help and I didn't have the patience to try working with them through email or chat, as there is obviously a flaw in how it works - When I click a switch I need instant light, especially in a 6x6 pantry.

Perfect. No neutral required.
Exactly what I was looking for. I've purchased a number of smart switches and they always require a neutral connection or they are significantly more expensive. This device is reliable, good build quality, integrates with Google home and home assistant, and generally looks like a normal light switch. The light rocker stays in the central position with a clicker up or down. Highly recommend and have purchased numerous others for my own.

Verify manual operation before proceeding to wifi implementation.
Unit provides flexible remote control of my device without the requirement for a neutral wire. This is very accommodating, since MOST switch devices are conventionally wired without a neutral wire

Good, with caveats
If you are just wanting to use that to connect to a companion switch, it works great. But if you want the smart functionality, I find that the non neutral keeps disconnecting from the app and you have to reset everything to have it back. The one with neutral has no such issues.
