Life saver!
Our ice tray broke after like 5-10 years or so. So glad they had this specific part in stock. We went without ice for two days… now our ice machine works like brand new, no leakage or issues.

Completed in less than 10 minutes!
I thought this was a bit pricey for what it is, but considering that I was able to install it in less than ten minutes, it was worth the price. Unlike some of the other reviewers, the wiring harness was immediately compatible with the original. There as only one screw to remove and I just needed to feed the water supply tube into the new unit. A word of caution, although I had the switch on the new unit OFF, it immediately started to move upon connecting the wire harness. Had it been a metal ice tray, I might have been injured! Also, after the ice tray “flexed” the water supply began to pour water into the freezer before I had the unit completely installed! All and all it was not a big deal, and certainly easier than having a service person come to our home to install it!

DIY Fix...don't pay for expensive repairs!
Our 6 year old LG refrigerator stopped producing ice about a year ago. Thinking that it was just "broken", we ignored issue as we didn't want to pay for expensive repairs. A year later, I decided to see what may be wrong with the ice maker. Well, to my surprise, after removing one single screw it was easy to discover that the issue was related to the electricity lines behind the on/off ice maker button. We searched in Amazon and found this part. It arrived in just a few days with Prime. As soon as we replaced it, the ice maker instantly worked! Don't pay for expensive repairs...this is an easy DIY fix!

Pretty pricy for such a simple item . I guess you have no other choice . You can buy parts separately but will cost about the same . It is very easy to remove and install , just one screw above on off switch . The connector was not compatible with my refrigerator. I cut off new connector and crimped on old one , color to color . Worked fine . Kept old ice tray will clean up water deposits and save it for parts . I started having problems with ice getting stuck which eventually burned up motor .
