Great shape

We have use these glasses for years. They stand up really well and everyone comments how great they feel in their hand.

Unfortunately, the lips are pretty fragile on this design.

Let me start with the fact that almost every piece of glassware I own carries the Luigi Bormioli label. In 5 years, I have only every broken one wine glass and one smaller stem glass - both due to dropping - every other glass of the several different styles I own and use has been perfect and withstood multiple uses. That's why I am so surprised to have found the 3rd one in this set chipped on the rim when I took it out of the dishwasher after only a few uses. I have had this set of glasses just over 3 months. The first one chipped after initial washing. I figured it was something I had done, so decided to see how it went over time. The second one chipped in the same way a few weeks after that, again, I thought I had done something wrong. Today, I disposed of the third one, chipped in the same way. The chips are sharp enough that the glass can't be retained for use. I know these come with some kind of guarantee for replacement, but honestly I have not pursued it since it is my understanding that you have to ship it back for replacement. Given the logistics of trying to return such an item, I have not made any attempt to do so. Basically, I can recommend this brand, but I can't recommend this design given my experience with it. I also own a set of the smaller ~8 oz size of this design, and have lost one of those to the same type of chipping on the rim. Thus my 3 star rating on something I expected to be able to rate as 5 star.

Beautiful Italian Glasses

Gorgeous oval base Italian glassware. Heavy base, delightful to hold. Perfect size. What more can you say!

Beautiful glasses

I saw these glasses in a restaurant and went looking to see if I could buy them somewhere....duh, amazon had them! They are very high quality Italian crystal (no lead) and a unique shape. I bought both the 14.5 oz beverage glasses and the old fashioned glasses. I can put them in the dishwasher and they come out fine. They are very heavy but with their unique oval shape they fit my small hand easily. Just beautiful!

Amazing Design

I had seen a couple of my friends discover these glasses at fine dining establishments and praising them for their design. Oval on bottom yet round on top which makes holding them with one hand a dream! I have arthritis in my hands and actually quit using drinking glasses resorting to mugs for water, refreshments. I bought these and a “game changer”! I also bought the shorter ones too. I donated ALL my other glasses!!

Doesn’t look too clear after washing

Beautiful & delicate

These glasses are so nice to hold, especially for someone developing arthritis. I first saw these at a restaurant in Santa Barbara and had to find them for my home. The bottom is oval and the top of the glass is round so easy to drink as well as hold. They are a more refined glass so one must be careful when placing in the sink or dishwasher to ensure they don't get broken. A little pricey but nice when hosting dinners.

I am very particular about how drinking glasses feel in the hand, these are perfect. not too heavy but substantial enough so that they are not too delicate for everyday use. highly recommend, and will get another 6 myself.

The most beautiful hi-ball glasses. Heavy base and beautifully designed. Real head turners. Love them, just a shame they always have to be shipped from Italy although delivery is sooner than expected.

Beautiful. Modern. These are the only glasses you need. Feels so good in your hands. I first saw these in a nice restaurant and had to hunt them down. I googled "oval and round glasses" or something vague and eventually found these at a great price. Thanks, Amazon!
