Basketball Player Review

The media could not be loaded. Overall it’s definitely done the job for me. It is comfortable and obviously a bit bulky but that’s what you’re asking for when you get both a strap and lace ankle brace. Only thing is I wish I can make it a little tighter, it seems to be quite loose so you may have tighten it as much as it lets you, to really feel that support. I’m a size 11 in shoes.

Sizes are incorrect on item compared to what is on the box

Used for a rolled ankle at basketball. Ordered based on size on item. Item delivered sizes are completely different. Included picture of back of package for real sizes. Ordered for a size 11 men's told me to get the XL. XL is for size 14-15 men's. It will work just big.

No es lo que está en la foto.

La verdad lo que me llegó no se parece en nada a lo que está en la foto, los pasadores no tienen la punta roja , el logo de la marca se salió y ni siquiera es como está en foto la tobilleras que me llegaron son totalmente diferentes en diseño. El logo de la marca se salió apenas me las coloque y repito no tiene ni un parecido a lo de las fotos que están publicadas

Great! Size by smallest ankle diameter, ignore shoe size chart.

Nice, great support. Wear a thicker sock for comfort, per the directions. To find your correct size, go by ankle diameter alone and measure the narrowest part of the ankle. Ignore the shoe size chart. There is plenty of stretch to accommodate if your foot is slightly too big. However, of the support is too large, you can’t tighten it enough to get proper support. If you are close or in between sizes, get the smaller size.

Pleasantly surprised

Most braces do not fit me right. I have a size 15 foot, am double flat footed, both vertical and horizontal arches on each foot, and have a rather large ankle/calf area. I just started a new job where I am on my feet most of the day, and needed ankle support for messed up ankle. After reading the reviews I gave this one a try, there is another one that goes to a bigger size but it was two week shipping, where as this one would get to me in two days. So far, the fit is great, it is a little uncomfortable, but nothing compared to most braces, so I think that is just par for the course. So far the material is holding up great, I tend to pivot off of my heal a lot due to an unusual stride, so I was worried it would break down fast. The cons, the XL version I purchased I am at the very upper end of it fitting. I have to fully unlace it, take the lace out, to get the brace off, and have the lace half undone to get it on, so I purchased a longer lace to go into it, to help accommodate that. The only other thing is the upper strap that secures around the lower calf area is almost too small. I have to really pull on it to get the ends to meet and Velcro. It could use another 2 or 3 inches. But over all it does do it's job, it has taken a very painful ankle that wants to buckle on me while walking and made it where I can now get through the day no problem, and am not in tons of pain once home. So the minor inconveniences of it is not enough to try and purchase a different one that is larger right now.

An IMPRESSIVE brace

This sucker is amazing. I really like HOW MUCH I can lock everything down. I can lace it all the way up, or only partially depending on what my needs are. In the end I laced only across the top of the foot and used the straps to secure everything else. Putting the laces all the way up is WAY too much work to have to do every time you put it on and off. Skipping holes and other lacing methods are of course an option, but still not worth it IMHO. Other than that, excellent product.

I had a pretty severe ankle sprain, size 25 foot large legs. item fit and provided great support. it did occasionally rub some when i walked alot, which i do at work but overall quite comfortable.

With sport in mind!

As a rugby player in my youth, this would have been a valuable item for the ankle I broke three times in a long playing career. It seeks to,replicate the stirrup strapping good tape men use to help rehabilitate injured sportsmen. It achieves this quite well, but needs a little practice to get it right. My past injuries, now 30 years on have resulted in a permanent weak ankle. The McDavid serves to deliver a level of support, but relies on some compression as well as the strapping support. My feelings are that it would give better support if it extended further up,ones leg. I felt it just a little low on the calves to give real long lasting support. It helps, it's not uncomfortable to wear and is well made, quality structure and worth it's money. I also have air filled jell cushion supports that fit inside two solid plastic templates that fit on each side of my ankle. These supports, although twice the price, deliver better long term support. One fears that surgery is probably now a more realistic solution to quite a debilitating condition

Good quality produt. Holds ankle perfectly but wouldn't use for sport

I just twisted my ankle. Again. This time I bought this strap and since I put it on what a relief ! It holds my ankle perfectly. I took the XL size and I usually fit size 12 1/2 or 13 and it's a bit tight... but it's meant to hold my ankle so it's fine. There is no real reinforcement to prevent twisting again, so I wouldn't use it for sports, but to help curing a twisted ankle it is perfect.

Also im Gegs. zur Müller -Variante (anderes Produkt ) war ich von dieser nicht so begeistert... trägt viel auf; schränkt stark in der Bewegung ein und trotzdem kam ich mir nie wirklich gut bzw. sicher in ihr vor ..... Aber ich will niemandem abraten !!! Man muss halt probieren was bzw. welche Variante einem am meisten zusagt !!! LG Jörg

Muy buen ajuste

Las compre para mi marido, quien adora todos los productos McDavid. Estas tobilleras en particular, brindan un soporte completo al tobillo, de manera que se puede sentir seguro practicando su deporte favorito sin riesgo de lastimarse. Al inicio se sienten un poco incomodas, pero hay gran adaptabilidad, debido a que pueden ajustarse de acuerdo al gusto de cada quien.

Súper cómoda y calidad excelente.

Impresionante tobillera. Tengo un tobillo muy machacado, y hace cuatro días tuve un nuevo esguince, después de reposo y del vendaje de refuerzo que me pusieron, compre esta tobillera, y es espectacular el ajuste y la sujeción que le da a todo el pie, súper cómoda y calidad excelente.
