Nice that it comes with the adapter for smaller arbors.

Works like a charm. I have only had the opportunity to make a half-dozen cuts in 1" square tubing but it's just like cutting wood on my cheap Ryobi chopsaw. So I can't speak to how long this blade might last but haven't seen any indication of wear so far. I had to return one that was too big for the arbor of my saw, this one fits perfectly using the included adapter.

Qulity blade

Used this Mercer blade on my Old 10"x 5/8" bore Makita metal chop saw.

I was tired of all the abrasive sparks and dust in my Garage from my old Makita metal chop saw. So, I removed the abrasive style 10" x 5/8 bore blade. Then installed this new 9"x 1" bore Mercer blade and added a 5/8" to 1" bore shaft adapter. The max RPM on my Makita is 3800 RPM's. Given that the max RPM specs on this new Mercer is 5800, it appears I have some safety margin to spare. This new blade cuts like butter on my old Makita. I am incredibly pleased I did not need to spend hundreds of dollars on a new metal shop saw.

The purchase was definitely worth it!

This Steel Thunder blade came in excellent condition and is exactly what the description states. It makes precise cuts and I can look forward to relying 100% on this blade for my upcoming projects.

Works well

First thing I did with my steel chop saw was swap out the abrasive blade for this one. Makes way less sparks(if any) and gives a cleaner and more accurate cut. Avoid cutting metal on the flat. It will wear your blade prematurely and create more sparks. Cuts steel fairly rapidly.

Muy decepcionado con la compra de este disco. La primera vez que lo compré me llegó con algunos insertos quebrados, lo devolvi. En esta segunda ocasión venía defectuoso, sin filo en los dientes ???????? no se vale que manden productos sin un riguroso proceso de calidad...

Se le cayeron dientes el primer día de uso

Compre este disco para mi makita lc1230 obviamente vi el bajo precio en comparación con los otros discos del mercado y para lo que lo uso no me funciono, yo corto solera (flat bar) de 1/2 X 2 y solo me aguanto dos soleras, quizá para tubos cuadrados y redondos aguante mejor, pero para esto no me resulto. En esto no me ha fallado el diablo de 80 dientes.

The blade sucjs I cut 10 prices of 2x2x1/8 square tubing and it went dull.. I've been in the trade for 10 years I know how to use them.
