Lasted 5 Seasons. Warranty is a joke since you have to pay return shipping.
Cover developed big holes after just 5 seasons. We have a mild climate in CA so this was not due to abuse or freezing temp swings. If I returned this bulky cover I would get just 35% or 40% of the purchase price (approx $22 refund) and I'm sure shipping on this piece of junk would easily cost over $20. Since there a holes I now have mosquito larva IN the pool. Algae has also grown in the pool since sunlight can get in through the holes. Opening this summer is going to be a lot of extra work.

LIke all pool covers we have owned over 30 years they seem to last only a few years and do I not mean five. This lasted as well as any other. Also, very important to oversize the cover so it is not stretched which shortens life further. What I did not like was the cheapo winch, which was like all other pool cover crappo winches, except this one was so hard to crank it was worthless. Fortunately from the 10 or 12 other covers I have bought over the years I have spare winches and spare cables. Reading the "20 Year" PRO-RATED warranty is very valuable learning experience so you will understand exactly how warranties can be written and appear fine but upon closer examination are really worthless. The other kind of warranty on other types of consumer products I really love is the one where it says the "seller can determine the market value at the time of warranty claim". Seriously, I am not kidding...

You get what you pay for
We ordered this pool cover for obvious reasons, to protect the pool from sun damage (chemicals, debris, algae, and water evaporation). Upon opening the package we noticed that it resembles a tarp (the woven kind). The cover is HUGE so it is ample enough for our oval pool, and is precut in an oval shape. There are eyelets on the edge that you thread in and out a rubber coated cable to which you feed both ends into a mechanism that allows you to twist the ends together to tighten it down. For the most part it does what it says. The only thing we noticed is there should be more eyelets so there are no gaps without tension to allow the wind to whip it and balloon the cover up out of the water potentially causing damage to your cover. The cover we got did not have the correct number of eyelets in it so when we threaded the cable through all the eyelets, both ends of the cable would end up on the same side of the cover. Which is where you then install the tightening device. We managed, and got it to work. We are happy with the cover. It is what you paid for. I guess the only complaints we had was there should be more eyelets to better tighten it down from whipping wind, and the instructions need to say to put water on top of the cover to help hold the cover down.

Shorter than advertised.
It's supposed to be oversized so there's a suffient overlap. It fit but no sufficient overlap. Hopefully it hold up to the ice. If ordering a pool cover order one bigger than your actual pool size.

So Far So Good
I have purchased other 10-year pool covers that have only lasted 1 season. This cover seems sturdy, but I will update my review after the winter and elaborate on its durability.

We think it will hold up over the winter season, the fit is great.
The size is great. enough extra tarp to put clips on comfortably. We will know how well it holds up after our first season of snow.

Almost good quality
Overall, this isn't bad. The cover was in tact, minus a couple dented rings, but the wire that came with it had a slit casing on it. This means that part of the internal wiring is going to be exposed to the elements and may end up rusting. I want to use this cover again next year, but I will need a replacement wire that isn't damaged.

Quality is good for a year or so.
This is my second cover; initial one lasted almost a year before material started to break down. Manufacture likely aware of this aspect- warranty return shipping is cost-prohibitive. If you need a light-weight cover good for a year, this should be fine.
