smells like death -- death to flies
This bait works brilliantly. As long as you have it far enough away from your house it does the job.

This bait catches flies like no other!
This review is for both the bait and the Victor trap it is installed in. Tried some fly tape traps around our house, but due to the wind they were blowing against the soffit, trim and siding and staining it with the adhesive. Took those down and replaced them with the Victor traps. What a difference these traps have made. Within a few days one of these traps caught more flies than 3 tape traps did in weeks. There is a strong odor, and I would advise you hang them a little ways away from your living space. We have a wrap around porch and installed 2 of these traps at roughly opposite corners of the house. The smell was occasionally very strong near the main door we enter/exit our house from, and near a porch swing at the other end of the house. The smell was never constant, but as the winds shifted/drifted the smell would come and go. I emptied them into a burning fire pit after I saw larvae swimming through the dead flies and feeding. After some research I realize that I should just leave the traps up for the remainder of the season as the traps turn into a self regenerating attractant as the flies decompose and attract more flies. Additionally, the larvae will never escape the trap as flies, if they even hatch... and just as the flies that laid the eggs were not able to escape either... duh. Can't believe I didn't realize that :D I will also get a few more of these traps and continue to use this bait as we have 5 acres and a lot of flies that we can control to make our land that much more pleasant to spend time outside by ridding it of flies. This stuff REALLY works...and REALLY stinks.
Rated one for the smell because it's awful...but for what you want with this, that actually means 5 star! This stuff really works...draws in tons of flies. Been through about 3 packets, keep it about 50 feet away from our patio...and we've probably killed will over 3-4,000 flies...no lie...YUCK! Lol Hardly any flies (one or two maybe) when we BBQ...that's a big change for us. We use two glass mason jars, top fits well...have one going while the flies die in the old one...then we wash that out and repeat process. We actually dig a hole and pour this yuck into it and cover it up then rinse it out. Do not put this in the garbage...anywhere...it's disgusting...and don't eve use these jars for anything else. The smell does not go away. Wait until all the flies (and yes maggots) die then bury them...at least a foot deep. It's worth the extra step, believe me.

It works
Works great but boy do these smell horrible! Reusing the container is a negative. It’s so gross seeing all those dead flies and the horrid smell. I’d use it if you have an overwhelming amount of flies. It will definitely cut them down- but will also attract flies so beware.

It works great for catching flies! Trying to reuse the plastic jar Was incredibly gross. The smell of the bait stinks! It works great for catching flies. I will buy the disposable one next time :-)

Smells horrible, but works great!
These are the bomb! We used them while camping and it was FULL of flied. It smells absolutely horrid, but it's worth it because it WORKS!

The best fly attractant/killer
This stuff works wonders!!! I love this fly attractant/killer--however disposing of the flies once they're in the trap is a whole other story. The flies don't necessarily die as soon as they enter this stuff, so they can produce maggots and therefore more files in the trap which is gross and disgusting. When its full and time to empty is when the smell comes in. The smell of the attractant isn't bad when mixing it to set out, its when emptying the dead flies and carcasses from the trap in time to refill with new mix. Best get a hazmat suit or gas mask for that.

This draws flies, but...
This stuff certainly draws flies but you won't want to keep it inside. It stinks really bad. So soon after I got the stuff I put it outside and out there was where many flies were gotten. I will not use it inside at all.

The Fly Killer
After several weeks of use I now have a massed grave of dead and dying disgusting and decease-ridden flies. So, I've purchased a second lot.
