Better than fake grass.
We have 2 small dogs and they are trained to go both inside and outside. They mostly go outside on real grass (we walk them at least 4 times every day) but they also know to use a fake grass patch if they have to go any other time. They can differentiate between grass and carpet and they don’t have accidents. Also, unlike potty pads, the grass keeps their paws dry and clean because they’re not stepping in their pee. We used to use fake grass from home depot. We also tried other pet grass from amazon. They all got dirty and smelly real quick. Our dogs almost always poop outside but on the rare occasion they go on the grass patch, sometimes the dog poo is not perfectly formed and it was just gross. This product is much better because it can be washed properly. We don't use the piddle pad system. We just place the piddle place mat in a tray on top of pee pads. We put it in the same place our old fake grass used to be and our dogs use it without any problems. I do think most dogs will need some training to use this. If your dog is used to real grass you may want to try other more realistic fake grass first. And then switch to this because the other fake grasses are gross. I have found that loofah mats are basically the same thing and my be cheaper. Update: after using this for a few years Ive switched to a different type of bath mat that has holes. It is much easier to clean. This mat has several layers and soft poo can become trapped between which makes it difficult to clean. It comes out when I wash it every week but I dont want poop sitting in the house. My new mat is single layer and I can spot clean it easily every day. And my dogs use it without any issues. I do not ever plan to go back to the piddle place mats.

Gotta keep her nice and clean on the road
My maltese loves her piddle place! So much easier than dealing with potty pads and no more wet feet. I bought extra replacement pads to keep in our RV for places that have less than desirable places for her to go outside. We put them in her x-pen outside and rinse before storing. Gotta keep her nice and clean on the road. I've had the original for 2 years and it shows no signs of deteriorating. If I had one wish, its that we could order custom sizes of the replacement turf. I would like to have one piece that fits the x-pen instead of 4.

Excellent Pad Replacement / Extra
I purchased this so I have two for my piddle place When it's time to wash the piddle place, I throw the used turf pad in the washing machine while I rinse out the piddle place, and then when I replace I put my second, dry one on the piddle place. Then I hang the washed one up to dry. I have a small dog so I empty and wash mine every 2-3 weeks. Having the spare pad is very useful so I can just rotate the two of them and not worry about rushing to replace it. So far I have washed each a handful of times and they don't show any signs of wearing down, or smelling.

These are the BEST for dog or cat piddling. Goes right through, easy wash. I have had my piddleplace for over two years. Works great. I latticed in my porch. and have a doggy door. My two cats and little bishon love it. Cat box and piddle place are out there and they love being outside and nothing in the house. There is no smell from either one. Got to love it. Thanks piddle place.

This product really works. The first winter I had my dog she stayed inside and used this exclusively. We were both very happy. Now that she has seen the great outdoors, she will no longer use it.

So far, loving this pad
I just got the base unit today so cannot comment on how the draining/cleaning part will be yet but the pad itself is great so far. Dogs are using it and it does not seem to retain any urine odor, which is a problem I have had with other potty 'grass' mats. If it continues, it'll be a rave review!

Love it that I have 2 turf pads now , I wash them out and hang to dry while I use a clean one. So easy to break my puppy with the Piddle Place.

Great to have two.
I ordered the Piddle Place but did not order a second turf until I saw whether or not my dog would use it. Now that he is comfortable and using it all the time. I felt it time to order a second turf and am glad I did. Now I have one to put it in its place while I am cleaning the other one. Once your dog starts to use this item, you will be glad they did. When you can't take them out for any reason, they have a place to go and you won't have it just anywhere in your home. I have a small dog and it works just fine. I don't know if it is large enough for a big dog though.

Awesome product dogs love it
I love this product!! My dogs are trained for both indoors and out. With this I never have to worry about messes or accidents. My pet sitter had never seen one before watching my dogs. She said it makes such a difference for them too!!

Great Replacement mat
After losing the original mat overboard, we are glad to have a replacement so quickly. A great device when you are at anchor and don't want to be a slave to the dog's needs...
