Paint chips off

It held up well for a couple of years but then started to leave paint chips everywhere.

Works very well

Like other reviewers, I recommend cleaning right away with a little dish soap, rinsing, set on a towel to dry. After squeezing both halves of a lime, I'd put the two halves together for a final squeeze and get quite a bit more juice. This squeezer has worked well for years and is still in good shape.

Seven years, going strong.

This is a splendid lime juicer. We have used it frequently for seven years. As long as they keep the quality the same, this is a great buy.

Recent versions of lesser quality?

Update 4/2016: Replacement only lasted 8 months before busting again at the hinge. Grr Update 8/2015: BUSTED! Finally gave out - broke at the HINGE, not at the handle as I'd anticipated. Still, 5 years of daily (ab-)use it a pretty good run, so I just ordered another. Praying they haven't "improved" it... The version for lemons lasted only a year or so :( Update 6/2012: SOLID! Still going strong - now I'm going to order the lemon version. I've broken these units before when the pot metal they were cast from gave way at the hinge while I was trying to extract that last bit of juice from a tough lime. But, though I've been anticipating that fateful CRACK when I overdo it, this juicer has so far stood up to the pithiest limes, and hasn't complained when I load up a stack of spent rinds trying to wrench a few more milliliters out of them. My only complaint is that the edible wax that seems to come slathered all over the outside of most citrus (even the "organic" fruit from Whole Paycheck) adheres to the inside surfaces of this tool and is tough to scrub off. I don't know if there's an alternative finish to this bright green enamel that would slough off the wax any easier (OXO, can you guys get on this one?)

Moscow Mule Lifesaver

We are avid moscow mule drinkers in this household and I bought this for my boyfriend. He said it was the best thing to ever happen to him. We love it! Only thing is if you're super picky - the paint does start to kind of chip off after several washes but it does it's job well and we think it's the best.

Wonderful Invention

Extremely well thought out design for the easy and efficient squeezing of limes. Had one almost identical to this one (maybe an older version) and I just plain wore it out. Be very sure you use it correctly because it's counter-intuitive. My wife tried it and said it sucked. That's because she had the lime half in upside down. One looks at the round contour and thinks, obviously the round part of the lime half fits into the round part of the device. That's backwards, the flat side of the cut half lime faces the curved in contour towards the juice holes. Works like a charm when used properly.

The Norpro Lime Juicer works very well as stated in the discription by preventing release of pulp or seeds. It is a real pluse to easily grab the correct juicer by color code: green for limes, yellow for lemons and orange for oranges. The only downside of this juicer is the hinge pin does rust in a relatively short time (5 days), it should be a stainless pin.
