Worked quite well on 3 newish hoses.

I'm not unimpressed with these. Leaky hose faucets are a pet peeve of mine. I've had one that leaked since I found a construction truck from a nearby house build in my driveway hooked up filling a huge tank in the bed. He was already unhooking as I came out, but I guess he tried to be fast, because it's leaked ever since. I'm happy to say this worked extremely well, and has saved me some karma from all the nasty thoughts I had every time I used it. I have 3 hoses, and they're all fairly new, ranging from about 1 to 3 years old, and they fit on all 3. I'm taking a star off because it came with no instructions. I feel like it's fairly obvious how to use, but a manufacturer should make sure, especially in an online situation where you can't get a good feel before you buy. Doesn't work for all hoses

The inserted part of these washers extends 15/16" into the hose end. If you have an older style hose, where there is a relatively thick brass fitting crimped around the end of the hose, and the threading on that fitting overlaps the end of the hose material itself (so, the hose material comes very close to the open end of the brass fitting), it will not be possible to fully insert this washer. If you have the newer style hose, where there are two very thin brass fittings joined together, one around the hose material, and one with the threading on it, this washer should work fine. It may be possible to trim the washer to fit older hoses, but it will depend on the particular hose.

limits leaky Hoses & Faucets

Nobody likes a leaky hose or faucet. This pack contains four hydrosel hose washers and four traditional washers. The hydroseals connect the hose and nozzle; the traditional ones connect the hose and faucet. Installtion is siple and they seem to work well. A clever idea that keeps water where you wnt it.

Stops leaks between 1/2" water hose and spray attachments. Works quite well.

You need these blue hydroseal washers if you have water dribbling out between your 1/2" diameter water hose and your spray attachment. Simply unscrew the spray attachment, remove the standard washer, and insert one of the HydroSeal devices. The flat part goes where the washer went in the spray attachment, while the tube sticks out to enter directly into the hose, essentially keeping water away from the joint itself, funneling it directly from the hose into the attachment. Voila. No leaks. The black washers are standard replacement washers that would go between, say, your hose and the spigot, and which should be used if you're starting to get leaks there. My one gripe is that these HydroSeals should have specifications on them; they won't work with 1/4" (won't fit) or 3/4" (water leak will persist) water hoses. Those diameter hoses are readily available and you may or may not have those rather than the somewhat more common 1/2" hoses.

Work

These washers work pretty well. They help solve the problem of leaky hoses. Good price and they do the job.

Fit on 2 of my 3 hoses

These Hydroseal Hose Washers from Orbit seem to do the job on two of my hoses. You get 8 seals. The 4, blue, seals go into the end of your hose where it connects to your spray head or sprinkler. The 4, black, rubber, washers go into your hose where it connects to your faucet. So you can fix from 4 to 8 leaky hoses, depending upon where your leaks are. The blue seal didn't fit on all my hoses but did fit on 2 of my 3 hoses and did stop the leaks. So far, so good. Worth trying if you have an annoying, leaky hose.

Measure your hose first

This did not fit into a Craftsman rubber hose. The washer is too big. There are no alternative sizes included in the kit. I did turn the washer around and pushed it into the trigger type spray nozzle , but why bother since I'm probably restricting the water flow slightly? I'm not sure how these are better than a standard washer. The water seal is formed at the same place as regular washer.

easy to install, hard to tell how well it works

These are easy enough to install. Note that the black and blue parts should not be used together. Install the blue part on the end of a hose that is especially leaky and use the black part on the other end of the hose if the original washer is worn out. Really hard for me to tell how effective these are. Installing the new black washer fixed my leakiest hose, but hopefully the blue washer will last longer. We'll see.
